Just seen this article on the Critic about women only swimming sessions. Apparently, there's going to be a meeting at the Ladies Pond in London on Saturday 27th August regarding the decision to let men self I'd into the space.

Yes — they are “permitted” to do so - if it’s a proportionate. They are not “obliged” to. This is how the 2010 Act changes things.

It doesn't change anything. They were always allowed to demand access and people were always allowed to exclude them. Like any other male people.

How can anyone possibly be lying about how they identify at any moment in time? It's an unquestionable internal feeling, not an objectively verifiable fact.

Males without GRC are just male for the purposes of the Equality Act. It was assumed in its drafting that there would need to be places which were female only.

Utter crap. We weren't lying. We were following the rules of TRAs by feeling manly and therefore identifying as men.

I wonder if the by-laws have been updated since we went. Because they very clearly excluded any adult of the opposite sex accessing single sex spaces.

There is absolutely no way to tell whether the person obviously of one sex and claiming the identity of the other and right to access facilities on the basis of this claim is lying or not.

There is no way to police this claim. There is no way to ascertain whether the person is intentionally lying to gain access, or is wholly convinced internally of their claim, or truly does have a soul of the opposite sex in the wrong body, and the impact on those of the other sex is exactly the same anyway . That's the issue.

That's precisely what these women were demonstrating.

Along with if females say no to males it's awful, poor males, and the males come in anyway saying smugly that females can't stop them.

And if males say no to females it works, the gatekeeping is successful, and those females are accused of lying/flashing/any other smear possible to make it clear that trying to trespass on male territory is Not Ok.

And it's irrelevant anyway.

Males have three separate choosy choices. And because of their selfish entitlement, some females now have no access at all because those males said so.

This is just flat out male supremacism and it's unacceptable. It's not inclusive. It's just plain revolting.

Which is why I applaud those revolting females who made the point by attempting to access the male pool and waking everyone up to this. God knows as females we live in revolting times.

It is so obvious what the patterns are I don't see how anyone can say they don't see them and be in good faith.

If transitioned males respect females so much, as they tell us they do (reader, we have seen much evidence to show this as being demonstrably false in too many occasions ), why would any transitioned male use a facility knowing it cause females distress and that females will have to self exclude?

Whenever we ask this question, the answer is either crickets, or when we had some active transitioned males on this board, they continued to appeal for special treatment and to be able to continue to access these spaces even if to do so caused females distress.

It is good to know that there are some transitioned males who do respect females and don’t enter these spaces. I do wish there were more and they spoke up. Maybe one day they will.

Puberty is when practicing Muslims start hijab so yes it’s fine for an 8 year old to swim in a mixed pool & she does swimming classes at the local leisure centre where they have family changing cubicles. But unfortunately her dad can’t swim well enough for the ponds.

I’m not a fan of public kissing but it’s a free country and we can look away from couples making out in public, so I’m not going to have an issue if any couple does that in front of my kids.
