Periods and having babies are the only differences between trans women and biological women apparently

Perhaps it's a bit mean to put this here, but IW is posting this claptrap - although in India's defence I get the impression that the delusion has gone on so long that they genuinely believe what they're saying to be fact.

If a routine blood test at 8 weeks of pregnancy is able to determine whether the unborn baby is male or female, how on earth can trans ideologists continue to argue that they're able to change sex? Their blood still carries all those sex markers, it doesn't magically change! Preaching to the converted I know, but seriously this is rage inducing.

Why is one of the two types of people (generally and for a limited period of time) able to menstruate and have babies and the other not? Could it be that one is genetically programmed to develop ovaries, a womb, a vaginal canal, a cervix, a placenta, an umbilical cord, and the other isn’t?

GCAcademic · 12/08/2022 16:45

So, given that I haven’t had babies and my periods will likely stop soon, will I be a trans woman?

IcakethereforeIam · 12/08/2022 16:48

So, all this time, I could have got another woman pregnant? Why are we even bothering with men?

You'll be indistinguishable from IW in every possible way.

Johnnysgirl · 12/08/2022 16:51

If India can "biologically change sex" then India will be having periods and babies any day now, right?
Makes you wonder what the word biological has been subverted to mean by people intent on changing the language to suit themselves 🙄

MrsOwainGlyndŵr · 12/08/2022 16:53

"in all other ways we biologically and factually change sex"

What other ways are there?

Precisely 😂

Wanting something to be true. And it actually being true can be very different things.

MummBRaaarrrTheEverLeaking · 12/08/2022 17:05

It's delusional claptrap all the way with that one I'm afraid, I'm one of many blocked, although I've never had any interaction on twitter whatsoever.

Mind you, I'm not exactly losing any sleep being blocked by someone who said they would go on live telly and show everyone their 'cervix' 😂

TheWeeDonkey · 12/08/2022 17:11

The only difference between me and Beyonce Knowles is the artistic talent, the stunningly good looks and figure and the bank account, other than that you can't tell us apart. 🤷‍♀️

Dinosaurhearmeroar · 12/08/2022 17:16

Poor old India. By their logic, young girls are trans women.

Both male and female embryos are genetically programmed to develop placenta and umbilical cords. How else would male embryos get nutrition in the womb?

WaffleAndGelato · 12/08/2022 17:21

I also didn't know that women could father children, which I believe IW has. Although maybe that was before the biological and factual changing into a woman occurred. What's the point in having the word trans if men can just change to literal women 🤷🏻‍♀️

I don’t even try to understand the TRA argument anymore.

I came to the conclusion a while ago that you’re not supposed to understand it - their objective is to make it so incomprehensible that it can mean anything they want it to mean.

Staynow · 12/08/2022 17:23

Even if those were the only differences they're really rather major aren't they??

TheWeeDonkey · 12/08/2022 17:24

It does raise a question about how cross sex hormones affect a person's mental health though doesn't it?

I suppose in TRA misogyny land, women are silly irrational creatures and IW is playing the part.

puffyisgood · 12/08/2022 17:28

it's fair enough to argue that the differences between trans and natal women are modest, they are in some respects, but it's slightly laughable when the proponents of this view would, to a (wo)man, simultaneously argue that the difference between trans women and plain old men is night and day, so much that the two are barely of the same species😂.

puffyisgood · 12/08/2022 17:29

in fairness to India she's at least managed not to go down the ultimate rabbit hole of 'trans women have periods'. maybe she'll get there in another couple of years.

Lovelyricepudding · 12/08/2022 17:35

Wasn't IW the one who offered to show people the cervix IW had grown due to being on cross sex hormones?

Why does IW even need cross sex hormones anymore? Surely they must be producing them by now?

Yes I'm trying hard and squinting to see if the difference between transwomen and men comes close to being as big as periods and pregnancy.
No one tell India that the abilities for periods and pregnancy is in every cell of a female body even if she can't or won't carry out these functions. It's like a tiny difference multiplied by billions.

FlibbertyGiblets · 12/08/2022 17:44

I note that having periods and childbearing are counted as a one thing, just the one difference, we are not thick, we can see what is being attempted here.. mashing up lots of biological processes into one. No Thank you.

Yikes.

I wonder what IW did grow and where, because I'm sure it wasnt a cervix. One thing for sure - I don't want to look at it.

FatAgainItsLettuceTime · 12/08/2022 17:45

IW and KM keep arguing on Twitter that they are biologically female because:

  • they are women
  • they are made of biological parts not robot parts

So they are biological females.

You see, it all makes sense!

Oh, is this why David Lammy thinks he could grow a cervix? I wondered where that had come from.
