Says Angela raynor twitter.com/lbc/status/1549000583742455809?s=21&t=qgvRnVgFhJgygk_b4Qxg2w

so that’s “mens rights are Women’s then”’

She’s either stupid or duplicitous but either way Labour can’t be trusted with Women’s rights

OP posts:
bellinisurge · 18/07/2022 15:43

She's an idiot. [whispers] Blah blah "single sex spaces are important [shouts] "most marginalised " "trust Labour " "all women's rights".

No. Thank. You.
Also
Get to fuck with that shite

VestofAbsurdity · 18/07/2022 15:45

Also a liar Labour did NOT introduce equal marriage, that was the Conservatives under Cameron.

And, no, transwomen's rights are NOT women's rights, they are not women.

Notice the caller had a dig at Rosie Duffield and Rachel Reeves, did Angela support her fellow women MP's, did she hell as like.

Rightsraptor · 18/07/2022 15:45

Could she be any more ridiculous? Maternity rights for transwomen then. Of course, Angela. That'll be sensible.

SallyLockheart · 18/07/2022 15:46

Well, her position is very clear. I don’t think the majority if people in the UK support her view but then again, dialogue isn’t encouraged.

Theeyeballsinthesky · 18/07/2022 15:48

labour really are bloody stupid - it’s painful. This is the one thing that the Tories get broad support with - that single sex spaces are for women of the Born female variety and in clodhops Angela with this. Thete is no widespread popular support for labours position & the sunlight pouring in is highlighting it every day. But do they stop & think? Do they fuck

Rayner is not stupid and she is entitled to her beliefs. I will of course vote for someone else.

A prime Indicator of stupidity is saying stupid things. QED.

LarryBlackmonsCodpiece · 18/07/2022 15:57

Yes she can fuck off, bye bye labour.

SweetSenorita · 18/07/2022 15:57

Haddaway 'n' shite, Angela.

You're entitled to your beliefs. Might be an idea for you to see what other women (that's those of us that were born female) have to say on the matter!

WellThatsMeScrewed · 18/07/2022 16:00

Sadly this is why after voting for Labour for all my life I won’t be putting an X in their box until they sort this out.

Please Labour think about the people you’re losing!

Madamecastafiore · 18/07/2022 16:01

The sad thing is that the more they spout this utter bullshit the less charitable I feel. I was all for yes trans women are trans women (not women), now I'm more, like fuck are they, they're men.

Presumably she doesn’t think that maternity rights are women’s rights. She must think they are birthing person’s rights. I wonder what she thinks a woman’s right even is? What rights are required by both women and a subset of males that are not just bog standard human rights?

Floisme · 18/07/2022 16:09

To be fair, I don't trust any party with this issue but Labour do seem to take one step forward (Rachel Reeves) and three back.

I am not sure what Angela Rayner's personal history has to do with this though and, given the number of academics in thrall to this belief, I think sneers about her education say far more about the poster than they do about her.

GroggyLegs · 18/07/2022 16:09

Urgh the fawning over the trans caller and the subsequent fawning over the man directly after.
I dunno about Raynor being 'woke', I feel she needs to wake up to the fact this is a men's rights movement.

waterbabys · 18/07/2022 16:12

Labour show us once again that they're totally incapable of protecting actual women's rights. Never a mention of transmen, always the TW

Many women left school with more babies than GCSEs because many girls were thrown out of school as soon as it was known that they’d become pregnant. I bet that there’s absolutely no official statistics on the number of boys who fathered a child before they left school though. Your comment is about as nasty as it gets.
Angela may well be unlikeable - but as I’ve never met her, I can’t comment. Also, as I’ve never seen her IQ test results, I also can’t comment on her level of intelligence.

bellinisurge · 18/07/2022 16:17

@VestofAbsurdity you are absolutely correct-Equal Marriage was brought in by the Tories

What an unpleasant comment.

I disagree with Angela Rayner and her views on trans women without resorting to this.

HermioneWeasley · 18/07/2022 16:21

She’s so dense light bends around her

Exactly. So how does that fit in with Rayner's view that "trans women's rights are women's rights"? Is she unaware of this case? Or aware of it but doesn't understand it? I find it impossible to fathom how a Labour Party politician has so little interest in the welfare of the most under-privileged people in society (female prisoners) that she is fine with making them share prison space with violent male offenders. Seriously, what the eff is wrong with her?

Toseland · 18/07/2022 16:26

At this stage, after women being expelled from the party and so many of us writing and flagging the issues over the past 4 years, bringing this up on the doorstep time and time again to be told 'it doesn't come up'. Labour is lost. It is purposeful. They are actively the anti-women party.

These ad hominem attacks add nothing to the debate and are really distasteful.

Fenlandia · 18/07/2022 16:33

To paraphrase other posts and comments I've seen, what does she or anyone mean by 'trans'? Who is it whose rights need to be protected by her and her party? I wish journalists would start probing on this. People think they're sticking up for a tiny group with a debilitating psychiatric disorder, but trans now includes those who identify as 'genderfuck' (per Nolan podcast).
