Robert “Bobby” E. Crimo III, 21, is accused of killing 6 innocent parade-goers and injuring at least 30 others after he allegedly climbed onto the roof of a business in the wealthy Chicago suburb on Monday and fired off 70 rounds from an AR-15-style rifle.

He then ditched the legally purchased weapon on the roof so he could blend in with the crowd as he fled during the chaos, Lake County Major Crime Task Force spokesman Christopher Covelli told a news briefing.

“Crimo was dressed in women’s clothing and investigators do believe he did this to conceal his facial tattoos and his identity,” Covelli said. “He was seen on video camera in women’s clothing.”

He may have even donned a hairpiece to complete his disguise, authorities said.

“A wig is not out of the question,” Covelli said.

No man has ever gone into a single sex space. A man (whether wearing trousers or dress, fancy dress or trans) DESTROYS a single sex space as his front foot crosses the threshold.

Let’s not even get into how he “knew they’d be looking for a man” (did no one actually see the shooter in action?) or why people “looking for a man” would overlook a cross-dressing man, or how making his appearance more rather than less distinctive was supposed to facilitate escape.

How are people so sure he is or isn’t trans. Stonewalls definition would classify him as such (unless the other photos are of him ‘in disguise’ too).

The news articles are confusingly worded, but it seems to be the case that he committed the crime while wearing a woman costume.

Well, if gender identity is only something that the individual can know, clothing has nothing to do with it. Anyone can wear anything, has no reflection on their gender identity. We can never know unless the person tells us. And whatever they tell us is always correct. We therefore just have to presume all people are some kind of holding-gender until they decide or declare what they want to be, and then we know. So we will just have to wait until this person decides whether they want to go to a male or a female prison; then we will know.
