Robert “Bobby” E. Crimo III, 21, is accused of killing 6 innocent parade-goers and injuring at least 30 others after he allegedly climbed onto the roof of a business in the wealthy Chicago suburb on Monday and fired off 70 rounds from an AR-15-style rifle.

He then ditched the legally purchased weapon on the roof so he could blend in with the crowd as he fled during the chaos, Lake County Major Crime Task Force spokesman Christopher Covelli told a news briefing.

“Crimo was dressed in women’s clothing and investigators do believe he did this to conceal his facial tattoos and his identity,” Covelli said. “He was seen on video camera in women’s clothing.”

He may have even donned a hairpiece to complete his disguise, authorities said.

“A wig is not out of the question,” Covelli said.

Indeed. And the so-called Cambridge Rapist was arrested in the '70s trying to escape from his final crime dressed as a woman and wearing a long blonde wig.

There are pictures in his SM feeds from months ago of him dressing in women's clothes.

Reminded of those despicable posters appearing on female bathrooms. What was it we were told?Do not question a person who you feel shouldn't be in there. Leave them alone and mind your own business. No thought whatsoever to the potential harm to girls and women.

Surely according to the views of Stonewall and others this man actually is “trans”, as the umbrella term now includes any man who chooses to wear women’s clothing.

Of course, he likely no more suffers gender dysphoria or views himself as trans than I do, but if we take the activists at their word, he’s under that broad umbrella.

And for the record, it is not feminists always drawing attention to the few bad trans people. It is Stonewall and so called trans allies creating a situation where the trans umbrella is so wide as to encompass a growing number of particularly abusive males.

No she had a man who put on a ‘womans’ coat as a disguise. There is a trans character in one of her books and they are just one of the characters (quite sympathetically written actually).

Yes, this. By donning a wig and make-up he becomes the class of person who can go anywhere and do anything and no one is allowed to challenge him.

I agree it isn't 'the strongest example' it's just the latest (this morning) and is shared here as a part of a refutation of the 'all men are entirely honest and must be taken at the word (or appearance) on all occasions without suspicion or challenge as it's impossible to imagine any man would ever affect the appearance of a woman or say that he was a woman for anything other the highest noblest and most sincere of reasons.

It doesn't matter how strong the example or how many of them, the weight of evidence is never enough to counter the claim that men would never wear women's clothing or claim to be women unless they were sincere.

Given his apparent politics, wouldn't be surprised if he was doing this to 'own the trans' / 'own the libs' - not sure I'd want to give him what he wants while there are still victims in hospital. If like other shooters probably has a long track record of violence against women and girls too.

Perhaps crow. But anecdotally some of the most fervent gender idealogues I know are young people from quite conservative, small-town, non-diverse backgrounds, desperately trying to atone for having been so ignorant and un-cool.

Some branches of feminism espouse the view that people should be able to dress as they choose. If that happens then I'm sure then we'll see more men dressed in traditional women's clothing committing crimes. Criminals have been disguising themselves in all sorts of ways, including as women, for centuries. Hardly novel.

If 'owning the trans' is what it's called every time men with a track record of violence against women and girls dress up as women to perpetrate violence, then may I suggest that 'the trans' need to start owning these men. It does happen rather a lot.

Most feminists think this surely. Not that many people take notice! What's new is this insistence that a change of clothes magically changes a person's sex or propensity to commit crimes.
