You can complain here if you don't use social media

What is there to complain about? I don't see them saying that TWAW and that they get access to women's spaces or anything like that.

achillestoes · 20/06/2022 12:23

I wonder where they’re keeping the poor old fella.

Cuck00soup · 20/06/2022 12:30

I don't have an issue with menopause leave (although sick leave should cover it and sickness calculators like Bradford modified).

Nor am I concerned about time off for medical treatment for transitioning. As we know, an exceedingly small percentage of workers on the Mr Kipling factory floor will use it.

Butteryflakycrust83 · 20/06/2022 12:37

Complain about WHAT? Way to go making the whole movement look stupid again.

ChuckBerrysBoots · 20/06/2022 12:41

Why would anyone complain unless they’re an employee directly affected? How bizarre.

achillestoes · 20/06/2022 12:44

Nobody has yet mentioned exceedingly bad takes.

Oh well, that’s another one to add to my list but I guess it will help the waist line 😀

AngelicaElizaAndPeggy · 20/06/2022 12:52

Don't understand what there is to complain about? I think we have to be careful about unilaterally deciding that anything claiming to be I clusive falls to the other side of some kind of binary divide. I'm sure a lot of people will benefit from this and laybe learn something new or think of something in a different way.

complain about what?

EmbarrassingHadrosaurus · 20/06/2022 13:01

OP, it might be helpful if you lay out your concerns.

Characterisations such as "woke mob" are not useful.

Belovedfool · 20/06/2022 13:07

I don't see anything to complain about. Its "offered" not compulsory. A simple "no thanks" would suffice.

Lovelyricepudding · 20/06/2022 13:27

Mr Kilpin was lost to me when they made their Battenburg's inclusive of 'almond flavoured paste' instead of Marzipan.

Lovelyricepudding · 20/06/2022 13:28

Brilliant 🤣

At least we still have Tunnock’s, I hope they don't go woke!

Leaving aside political issues, Mr Kipling is just ultra-processed shite in colourful packaging. It's not really food. You may as well just suck a bag of sugar.

Igmum · 20/06/2022 13:59

In all fairness they don't seem to be curtailing women's spaces, they are not saying TWAW and they are actively providing menopause leave. I have no objection to this. Looks like decent HR policies to me and good luck to them. I'm as GC as the next viper but this genuinely doesn't seem to trample on women's rights or inappropriately medicalise children.

I've just been for a 12k run. That's sounding sooo good right now.

quiteathome · 20/06/2022 14:55

It sounds like it is the whole of Premier foods, not just Me Kipling. They own a lot of brands, and also make own label products for a lot of supermarkets. You may end up boycotting a lit of foods.

Overall I don't really see any issues with this. We don't really know what they are planning. And if someone dies transition they will need support.

I like the sound of their menopause support.

I can't see that happening, they ran this advert only a few years ago

MenopausalMe · 20/06/2022 16:26

I don’t see a problem, I have plenty of products on my boycott list but it’s down to their attitude to women and women’s rights. I’m not against trans rights I’m against erosion of women’s rights and against treating safeguarding as personal affront/accusation as opposed to something everyone has to do
