Anyone going to College Green this afternoon for the rally?
I am hoping to if I am feeling better - crappy cold, and hope the weather holds.

Kellie Jay doesn't run the account so they appealed and won.

ScreamingMeMe · 04/07/2022 12:59

Footage of the day from Alfupatree on YouTube. Rhe police failings arevreally clear.

Thank you for posting this. Shocking stuff.

GoodThinkingMax · 04/07/2022 14:35

I'm watching that YouTube vid (via the Glinner email update).

How ANYONE can think that the TRAs are anything other men's rights activists from that footage, is beyond me. The dominant men were intimidating, physically & vocally, and at times physically violent & threatening.

Yes @Ereshkigalangcleg It's really hard to watch. I'm almost in tears & just want to give the young autistic woman speaking a big hug. She's so brave.

PomegranateOfPersephone · 04/07/2022 15:05

Thanks @ScreamingMeMe that is a really good analysis video.

It was quite a harrowing watch in places. I wish the police had had the numbers to make arrests. I know that police numbers and funding has been dramatically cut in recent times but what a contrast to the policing I have seen in person at animal rights and environmental protests in the 90’s.

The point made is very clear that the useful idiots shouting at women have no clue what the women are saying but simply uncritically accept what they are told by the misogynistic agitators. Whereas the women are well educated on the beliefs and demands of the gender identity activists.

At every protest you’ll always get a few hooligans with no interest in the cause turning up in the hope that things will “kick off” and they’ll get a good fight out of it. In this particular protest it seems they were the leaders instead of an annoying fringe. They apparently had absolute control over a veritable army of gormless useful idiots. The mindless mob was quite terrifying to see in this video. I wonder what the attending police officers thought about their experiences on that day.

I like the style of the man who made the video, I couldn’t make out if he was originally GC or if he had gone along as a Bristol resident to see what it was all about.

PomegranateOfPersephone · 04/07/2022 15:11

I wonder if the police will learn any lessons and police Standing for women and other similar events differently in future. They really didn’t seem to have a handle on the situation in Bristol, not enough numbers. Did they even make a single arrest or gather any evidence on the violent agitators so they can keep track of them?

Datun · 04/07/2022 15:55

If the police kept the thugs further away so they weren't allowed to physically intimidate the women, many would give up.

Their purpose is to intimidate the women and drown them out. If they're not allowed to do that, it loses its appeal.

LiesDoNotBecomeUs · 04/07/2022 16:49

Wow - the TRAs in that video appear to be from rent-a-thug.

Didn't Hitler's .brown-shirts. behave like this too?

Where you could hear their words they showed themselves to be men enraged by women daring to speak outside their own homes.

What an old old fight this is.

BernardBlacksWineIcelolly · 04/07/2022 17:25

And using the ‘go back where you came from’ rhetoric like some old school racist

lovely

CrossStichQueen · 04/07/2022 17:43

Wow how can anyone watch that video and be ok with this level of violent intimidation of women who are exercising their right to meet and discuss their rights and needs.

Even watching that video on silent you can tell who are the male instigators of this mysginistic homophobic movement that is TRA.

MrsOvertonsWindow · 04/07/2022 17:51

That was scary to watch. Those men had a real "neanderthal" feel - incoherent, spitting with rage and aggressive. Wonder why they think women aren't keen on sharing facilities with the likes of them? Confused
It also shows how empowered some men feel to abuse women - and that ageism is the preferred behaviour of some of the young.

I'd only seen short clips of the intimidation on the way to the pub. Also I didn't realise how far away the pub was and how long this was allowed to go on by the police. All that had to do was keep the protesters at a safe distance, total failure. Brave, brave women and girls enduring this when many will be victims of male violence and abuse.
I also feel sad for the female protester trying to bait Alek (whose picture was circulated before hand by transactivists as someone to look out for). Bumping into Alek then turning to the masked males shouting "she's touching me". That woman should speak to victims of male violence and understand how she is enabling abuse.

Abhannmor · 05/07/2022 09:40

I couldn't watch all of it. Too upsetting . Far too much testosterone floating around amongst the trans rights activists.

What are Bristol police playing at - where was the ' light touch ' when they tased an OAP outside his own house?

DOBARDAN · 05/07/2022 12:52

Thank you to all the amazing women and men who stood their ground at 'Standing For Women Bristol'
You were all very brave, especially in light of how the trans activists, yet again, were focused on not letting your voices be heard, and with threatening, appalling behaviour towards you
I didn't watch all the video footage, it was too upsetting, I just wanted to thank all those women who I saw, trying to make themselves heard through the noisy chaos the trans activists were making
I don't know why the police couldn't prevent them from getting so close and being threatening to your group, but any how 'Standing For Women' are still standing and are doing a great job on behalf of women and girls, for their future
I'll gradually catch up with all the comments and links here, so many, wow, thanks to all who have linked here

JacquelinePot · 05/07/2022 20:57

Thanks for posting that @ScreamingMeMe. If you don't want to, let me know and I'll post it on its own thread. People need to see it.

Very hard to watch, though. It looks really frightening. I teared up just watching, out of frustration as as much as anything.

How fucking dare they? And wtf were the police doing? How is it legal to scream abuse directly in people's faces?! Why didn't they keep the two groups separate? I'm surprised no one was hurt.

Sorry, just seen your msg. Please go ahead if you want to.😊

Ides · 07/07/2022 22:00

Sadly, I don't think most people care about this issue, believing - obviously wrongly - that a tiny number of transwomen can somehow 'oppress' the largest demographic in the country - that of natal women. People just don't get how delicate, fragile, fragrant and inclined to burst into tears we natal women are! It's outrageous!

Why, I saw a woman who was kind of big in town the other day, and felt she might be a trans woman ... and I immediately felt erased. But did anyone care about my feelings? Did they hell. I stood there, bawling my eyes out, shouting 'I've been erased! I've been erased!' ... And not one word of sympathy. Nobody understood how much I'd been oppressed!

We are surrounded by misogynists, ladies! What makes it doubly awful is that everybody pretends they don't understand what I mean when I say I've been erased. They say awful, ideological things like 'What the f**k are you talking about? I can still see you' ... and other such female-destroying things!

I just don't get why people don't understand how easy it is to oppress us women. People are just so brutish.

ifIwerenotanandroid · 07/07/2022 22:04

Has anyone seen this?

twitter.com/ShazzBakes/status/1544775869394198530

The costume & behaviour appears to be being copied elsewhere & randomly targetted at women in the street, nothing to do with 'meetings' or 'counter-protests'.

This is why the police should've done more in Bristol & elsewhere. This intimidation needs to be stopped.

TastefulRainbowUnicorn · 07/07/2022 22:41

They say awful, ideological things like 'What the fk are you talking about?

that part I do believe. What the fuck are you talking about, why are you doing it on this thread and why are MNHQ allowing this weirdo to continue posting here?

I guess no one’s reporting him. I’ll abide by forum tradition and not report him myself but I don’t understand why. He isn’t even edifying as an example of bad arguments, because he doesn’t make arguments. Just a complete worthless waste of space.

RufustheFloralmissingreindeer · 07/07/2022 23:14

Agreed tasteful

I'm just astounded by the unique experience of a post by Ides which doesn't refer to male genitalia, frankly.

I don't report the utter dross posted by that and other posters because it's a wonderful example of the drivel posted by people utterly subsumed by gender ideology. No substance, no meaning, no sense. Makes a stark contrast to the well evidenced, well argued posts by rational posters.

Helleofabore · 07/07/2022 23:55

I was going to point that out too wait. But then the glaring misogyny of the usual declaration of women being fragile if they don’t want to be in a shared single sex space with males made me realize it was only a half a surprise.

RufustheFloralmissingreindeer · 08/07/2022 09:09

made me realize it was only a half a surprise

oh my goodness, if i wrote what i wanted here id be deleted

but does anyone remember the ‘7 inch surprise’ comment a few years ago

😀
