Anyone going to College Green this afternoon for the rally?
I am hoping to if I am feeling better - crappy cold, and hope the weather holds.

I don't think gay people or the LGBT community in general are grooming children, by the way

oh hell no…i agree completely

but there are groomers and logically they must be found in all types of people and communities

RufustheFloralmissingreindeer · 25/06/2022 13:21

Yes indirectly, by posting about and supporting KJK's events in their telegram channels etc anti-facists are associating these events with the far right

sorry, I’m easily confused

i get what you are saying above, understand it perfectly

but why is it kjks fault? Or are you saying its not her fault but its an unintended consequence

Do you have a proposal?

Eg, do you suggest that it is KJK's responsibility not to speak about women's rights? Is that the solution you would put forward?

Ereshkigalangcleg · 25/06/2022 13:43

Carl Benjamin is hardly hard far right, he's a self proclaimed antifeminist and he stood for UKIP but he's now basically an "anti-woke" commentator with an interest in cancel culture etc. The podcast is hardly radicalising, it mostly just takes the piss out of leftist politicians etc.

The logic here reminds me of kids saying "he made me do it", where it was starting a fight/hitting someone

When I dig down into how the victim made the other kid hit him, according to the hitter, it is always a pathetic excuse like "making a silly joke", or making fun of the hitter's best score on the latest computer game. Although once we had "breathing at me".

This kind of inability to take responsibility for your own reactions is developmentally normal for children, although absolutely not acceptable. I train them out of it.

In an adult, it is beyond pathetic. Some far right people sharing news of a women's meeting is no reason for anyone to go and accost the women. What next? If the Telegram group shares news of a RSPCA cake sale being held to raise money for animals, are these men going to turn up there too? Because that is the exact reasoning here.

SoAntifa are basically thick and allowing themselves to be manipulated by far right activists?* Is this what you mean? *
**And what has this to do with the womem discussing womens rights?

Just to make it clear again, KJK is in way responsible for them posting her content.

??

There's plenty more to find if you have the stomach to dive into the cesspit that is far-right Telegram.

No, I don't. Have you delved, on our behalf into far left or antifa Telegram to see how it's promoted there?

Anti-fascist protesters (Black Pampers) are turning up at KJK events because far-right organisations are (not directly) encouraging them.

Sorry I am confused are you saying that far right groups are encouraging Antifa to attack women's events?

Me too… so far-right organisations are saying to protesters to go and protest SFW events?

Or just by someone mentioning the events, protesters decide using their own immature and reactionary brains that women are fair game to go and yell abuse at because some other people mentioned them. Not because those women have actively participated in any way?

And therefore, it is the women’s responsibility?

PurgatoryOfPotholes · 25/06/2022 13:58

They may believe they are fighting "fascists" by turning up at the meetings of totally different people.

I believe that they need to lose their screentime for six months each until they can conduct themselves appropriately.

No, there are black clad activists at these events because they are misogynistic twats who think women should be back in the kitchen looking after the kids.

Is this like a poster who once accused us on MN for being responsible for the violent protests in front of WiSpa? That was males from antifa protesting there too. And women on MN were to assume responsibility for inciting them.

I fully understand that that is your perception. It's putting forward a preferred interpretation of an explanation.

My preferred interpretation is that some young men will adopt any cover to turn up and be belligerent to others. I see the belligerence and the violence that is targeted at women and girls here. I'm unconvinced by the cover story.

NB: the usual convention for that is square brackets plus a comment attached to the quotation.

Otherwise, accretions and edits introduce confusion. Eg, you're agreeing with your own version of my comment rather than your comment. However, I should think that's somehow meaningful to you.

WildIris · 25/06/2022 14:23

Many moons ago I was on Twitter, mostly for animal rights discussions. During one discussion about animal cruelty, someone (who was obviously a BNP supporter from their bio) liked one of my tweets 😯😂.

Using cheesy’s critical thinking skills (or lack thereof), does that make me guilty by association?

Honestly, I thought that was how 5 year olds argued:

”I prefer cats”

”Why do you hate dogs, you dog abusing hater”

😂🤣

It's very hard to understand what your actual point is regarding the Standing For Women event and the reaction of some violent men to it - care to elucidate?
