I had an email this morning regarding the line up of the upcoming Taylor Hawkins tribute concert. I am a fan, but a) cannot afford it, I know it'll be expensive and b) hoping it's streamed as would be happy to pay for that instead.

I smelt trouble, and sure enough you can imagine what twitter is like this morning, all yikes and disappointment and heartbroken at giving up their favourite band, one going even as far to say fuck foo fighters.

I can't imagine what the band is going through in the wake of the loss of Taylor, but the pile on modus operandi of the bullies has begun reagrdless, and probably won't end until Dave Chappelle has been booted from the line up with massive pandering apologies. After which they'll be whinged at to cough up big time/ give portion of their ticket sales to trans organisations, and get a special mention at the concert itself because as we all know, nothing is good enough 🙄

I think some of the pre-sale tickets went to people who had already bought tickets for the tour which they sadly had to cancel.

Content Investment

Create a new fund to specifically develop trans and non-binary talent

This fund should support both above-the-line (ATL) and below-the-line (BTL) talent;

This fund should exist in addition to the existing Creative Equity Fund;

Increase investment in trans and non-binary content on Netflix comparable to our total investment in transphobic content, including marketing and promotion;

Invest in multiple trans creators to make both scripted and unscripted programs across genres;

Revise internal processes on commissioning and releasing potential harmful ('sensitive') content, including but not limited to involving parties who are a part of the subject community and can speak to potential harm, or consulting with 3rd party experts/vendors;

Increase the ERG role in conversations around potentially harmful content and ensure we have best in class regional support on complicated intersectional diversity issues;

Hire trans and non-binary content executives, especially BIPOC, in leading positions;

My question is this - How do they know how staff at Netflix identify, are they asking everyone to out themselves?
