I had an email this morning regarding the line up of the upcoming Taylor Hawkins tribute concert. I am a fan, but a) cannot afford it, I know it'll be expensive and b) hoping it's streamed as would be happy to pay for that instead.

Anyways, there, near the bottom "with an special appearance from Dave Chappelle"

I smelt trouble, and sure enough you can imagine what twitter is like this morning, all yikes and disappointment and heartbroken at giving up their favourite band, one going even as far to say fuck foo fighters.

I can't imagine what the band is going through in the wake of the loss of Taylor, but the pile on modus operandi of the bullies has begun reagrdless, and probably won't end until Dave Chappelle has been booted from the line up with massive pandering apologies. After which they'll be whinged at to cough up big time/ give portion of their ticket sales to trans organisations, and get a special mention at the concert itself because as we all know, nothing is good enough 🙄

One of the biggest bands in the world, and even they can't escape the hyperbolic tantrums of the woo-woo!

Totally agree regarding the he's got a weapon bit, very dangerous but serves well to highlight how much they lie, how little they care about the possible consequences of their lies and how inherently intolerant and downright fucking dangerous these TRAs are.

There's no way the Foos won't be aware of the Chappelle 'controversy'.

And unfortunately, nothing stops TRAs from going after someone- they went after Patton Oswald when he had not long lost his wife, for reading the Harry Potter books to his children. Despicable, self-centred people.

Dave Chappelle isn't really my cup of tea, but he makes some really good points, not least the DaBaby fiasco mentioned above.

Anyone reading the comments on Twitter would be forgiven for thinking that 90% of the audience was going to be comprised of trans people but now they are so deeply offended by Chappelle's presence they are all refusing to buy tickets. One suspects there are a hell of a lot of people who had no intention of ever going to this gig but they are just loving the opportunity to screech and threaten another bunch of celebrities into submission.

It’s the 2022 equivalent of posting a link of let me Google that for you because it’s not a massive hardship when you’re already on the internet to have a quick look yourself. 🤷‍♀️

I don't get why people object to people asking questions on internet forums instead of googling. I mean we are all on the thread to talk about the topic, so why not ask the posters here to clarify something about the topic? Someone might like to answer. No one is forced to answer. If no one answers they will have to Google or remain without the knowledge. Nothing bad happens.
