Free beer for men at Bills' restaurant

Bills are offering free beer to men for Father's day. I asked them on their live chat if Transmen are included in the offer. The reply was 'it shouldn't be a problem'. So I replied 'ok so as Transmen are bio women are all bio women included in the offer in line with equality?' The answer 'I'm not sure but we do consider all of our customers to be equal'. As this appears as a politicians reply & does not answer my question I have sent them an e mail with my question. I await the reply.Any thoughts?

No. I'm saying that it's idiotic to make a huge fuss over Bill's offering free beer to men, pestering their restaurant staff for answers to questions that are way outside their pay grade, and then suddenly turning it into a toilets issue. It's embarrassing.

And for the record, this week I have spent about 12 hours keeping some of the most vulnerable women in the country, safe. The toilets at Bill's could not be any less important to them.

Why? Because they are offering a free beer to men on Father's Day?

Do you boycott places like Costa and Starbucks which typically only have one toilet?

So you won't go anywhere that only has one toilet, because it's unisex, and you won't go anywhere that only has separate toilets for men and women.

Where exactly DO you go?

I can imagine that this restaurant will just drop the free beer and refuse to do any giveaways in the future if their staff are inundated with lots of people trying to ask them gotcha questions. It's not worth the hassle.

Surely a single toilet (as opposed to a row of cubicles) is the safest place to be for a woman, be it unisex or single sex. How am I at risk from going to the single room unisex/disabled toilet at Costa?

You honestly have nothing better to do than harass wait staff about this nonsense? Wise. Up.

Do you think places like Bill's can afford to have a member of waiting staff on toilet duty making sure that no one who looks biologically male goes into the women's toilets?

There are plenty of legitimate battles to be fought here. Write to your MP about the conversion therapy ban, self ID, women's sports, single sex hospital wards, whatever you care the most about. Challenge your workplaces diversity policy if you don't feel that women's rights are being respected. Donate to gender critical crowdfunders for people like Allison Bailey and Maya Forstater who are actually using the legal system to fight the good fight.

But low paid restaurant managers at Bill's are the wrong target for your activism, and this sort of thing makes the gender critical movement look like a bunch of insane nutters.

What on earth do you expect the wait staff to do if someone who looks 'a little bit man-ish' goes into the women's toilets? Seriously? I know a couple of natal women who could be described thus.
Are you really expecting a 20 year old duty manager to approach her and ask her if she's a woman? And if the person says yes (even if it becomes more obvious that they're trans) what do they do then?
