Stella Creasy has doubled down on her TWAW position in today's Telegraph www.telegraph.co.uk/women/life/stella-creasy-jk-rowling-wrong-woman-can-have-penis/

Not just that: she says they’re female.

SpindleSheWrote · 28/05/2022 06:22

What is wrong with her? And all the other women of late (see Allison Bailey hearing: passim) saying this nonsensical and dangerous shit, offering to give other women’s rights away because it’s personally lucrative to them? Isn’t there a word for that kind of behaviour?

Just feck off with your luxury beliefs and your chasing after the Stonewall dollar.

Oh and Stella - you’re not as clever as you like to think you are. In fact you're REDACTED REDACTED.

tabbycatstripy · 28/05/2022 06:23

Then she argues with Debbie Hatton about whether TW are adult human females. It’s like trying to pin jelly to the wall.

Theeyeballsinthefuckingsky · 28/05/2022 06:26

lol Stella what a tit you are 😆 wonder if she’ll be back to mumsnet anytime soon to promote her campaign to get more mums into Parliament seeing as it went so brilliantly last time

tabbycatstripy · 28/05/2022 06:27

But Pike responds with an education.

Rightsraptor · 28/05/2022 06:36

I don't know what this 'Stonewall dollar' is, @SpindleSheWrote. All money in a Stonewall context seems to flow in one direction only and that is into SW's coffers.

WhereAreWeNow · 28/05/2022 06:43

Did she realise Debbie Hayton was trans when she started arguing about what a TW is? Kind of embarrassing to tell a TW that TWAW only to be politely told by the TW "no we're not, we're men".

Oh I know, is it the same as people being born with an extra toe or something? Not sure quite what she's getting at.

PermanentTemporary · 28/05/2022 06:52

Stella Creasy studied at the last Cambridge college to admit women (in 1988). The answer to sex-based discrimination is not to eliminate sex but to eliminate discrimination.

She certainly knows who's male.

Because she knows those are the ones to bother listening to and responding to.

Stella is such a disappointment. I voted for her to be Deputy Leader. And yet she'd happily throw women under the bus. And Labour too, for that matter. Her idiotic stance in this article will have just cost hundreds of thousands of Labour votes. Because voters don't actually believe males are females for a second.

Rightsraptor · 28/05/2022 06:36

I don't know what this 'Stonewall dollar' is, @SpindleSheWrote. All money in a Stonewall context seems to flow in one direction only and that is into SW's coffers.

One of the underlying themes (to me) of the Allison Bailey hearing was that certain senior members of Garden Court Chambers thought that their association with Stonewall would generate lucrative legal work.

Stonewall’s latest trustees’ report (31/3/21, Companies House) talks of its campaigning work and fundraising activities underpinning and ‘promoting’ certain legal and political challenges.

I suspect that a number of deluded people think - rightly or wrongly - that Stonewall will in effect be sponsoring their careers if they play their cards right.

Hope that makes sense - I’m on a very small-screened phone and hate using it for MN.

tabbycatstripy · 28/05/2022 07:01

Then she hides behind ‘I’m just stating the law’. No she isn’t (she’s expressing a philosophical position, one that is incoherent). But also, we can pass laws saying any number of things. Parliament could pass a law tomorrow that says every male person in the country should be registered as a legal blonde. It wouldn’t change the fact that most men have brown hair. Some are bald.

arethereanyleftatall · 28/05/2022 07:33

Stella is, correctly because she's deplorable, getting absolutely annihilated on Twitter right now.

Rightsraptor · 28/05/2022 07:41

I'm sure various 'partner organisations' will fondly be Imagining that links with SW will bring them work (which equals money, of course) but from what I saw of Garden Court's relationship with them, it was all expected to be pro bono. And it cost GCC money when Harriet Wistrich found out about the shitshow they were in.

It'd be interesting to know if an association with SW has ever benefited anyone financially.

MarshaBradyo · 28/05/2022 07:45

What an idiot

Who can even promote this stuff

nauticant · 28/05/2022 07:46

Much of this twitter thread was deleted but here's Stella Creasy back in 2018 responding to a parent who complained that her daughter was exposed to a male masturbating in the girls changing room:

twitter.com/stellacreasy/status/975440621765873664

When it comes to this issue Creasy is about closing the stable door after the horse has bolted rather than keeping appropriate safeguarding in place.

tabbycatstripy · 28/05/2022 07:51

Did I just read Stella Creasy right? ‘I’d be concerned for any child who thought it was appropriate to masturbate in front of someone else without their consent?’

THE CAVEAT! When would it be okay for a child to masturbate in front of someone at all? What ‘consent’ could possibly be given to this?

The woman is mad.

SpindleSheWrote · 28/05/2022 08:03

That seems to have passed me by, @Rightsraptor. What did Harriet do? (I hugely admire HW. Awesome woman.)

And yes you're probably spot on about SW being a one-way street when it comes to money. Yet these legal and political types still get duped into it, as though a SW endorsement is going to be a great boon to their careers. And then they're trapped. I'll have a look at the Stonewall accounts again and see who they've actually given money to (although they only go up to end March 2021).

I used to be curious, then disappointed, then shocked, at the vehemence of the women like Stella Creasy MP and Judge Michelle Brewer who are enthusiastically involved in promoting TRA ideology. Now I'm just angry.

PermanentTemporary · 28/05/2022 08:03

The thing is, I rate Stella Creasy as a politician. She's got brains and gets things done. The Telegraph obviously does too, hence the clickbait. I hate that she seems to be a true believer on this.

This should be at the top of all threads.

SpindleSheWrote · 28/05/2022 08:13

The woman is mad.

Maybe the cognitive dissonance takes its toll in the end. We saw a few witnesses in the Allison Bailey hearing who came across as unhinged.

Yes, I love this. May I borrow it?

I can’t see the brains. I think she’s an example of a person who got where she is through privilege and now has a CV that’s out of kilter with her actual ability.

Hmmm. I'm struggling to think of the achievements. The MN chat was a cringe-fest. "This mum votes" or something? Like we're all so stupid, we need a special wimmins campaign to tell us how the little xs work and make sure to only do one!!
