60%+ think will have a negative impact.

Nicola will just push ahead despite this though won't she. 🤬

This is really interesting. Thank you for posting this - reading now.

TheBiologyStupid · 23/05/2022 22:07

Ditto!

SabiRiver · 23/05/2022 22:08

Yeah I'm sure the SNP will claim its not representative of the population or not valid. Brilliant results though.

Rainbowshit · 23/05/2022 22:14

Ha ha. This is a great response.

They've made it very clear in the linked publication that they don't consider this representative. What a surprise. They'll just ignore the evidence, as they did for the last two consultations.

Excellent response in the longer calls for evidence though - yourviews.parliament.scot/ehrcj/1e24dbb1/consultation/view_respondent?_b_index=600&uuId=266462780

Cross Post!

That is a concern, particularly since so many people who don't live in Scotland seem to have answered it, it seems open to accusations of "brigading" in order to skew the results.

Cross Post!

Sorry I stole this from your post in scotsnet. I had popped over there to post only to see you had beat me to it.

Excellent results -though I'm not sure how useful the word cloud and word association diagrams are. I really hope that these overwhelming results give Sturgeon and co. pause for thought (but I'm not holding my breath). The starkest contrast in opinions was for the question on perceived negative impacts of the bill - and rightly so.

Ach, no problem - it's so good it bears repeating!

The word clouds are ... odd things to include.

Brilliant - Scottish Arts Council funding will surely follow to enable that excellent project!

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 23/05/2022 22:36

Same as the last consultation... At least when it all goes tits up there is a paper trail showing that the ScotGov were repeatedly told.

Rainbowshit · 23/05/2022 22:38

It's also notable that they have the positive responses more prominence than this against it.

So I presume the point was to try and fish for support for their position? Why else ask yes/no questions?

That was very good indeed

Plasmodesmata · 23/05/2022 22:50

Interesting they put "responses in favour" first, for three pages and "responses against" second, for just two pages, given the numbers.

Genius!

Galvantula · 23/05/2022 23:02

Yes, I thought it was really odd that yes and no were in different orders, depending on which was the highest % for the question.

And the word cloud and mind mappy things wtf?

Pretty clear what the majority view was in the summary there, but I also await the news of how those concerns aren't valid so...

<Fetches brush, dustpan and rug>

Nothing to see here...

FemaleAndLearning · 23/05/2022 23:10

I thought word clouds were out of fashion now. The word clouds and connections show the difference in complexity with those in favour having far fewer words and connections and those against showing a much wider breadth of areas and lots more connections.
When will we know what the outcome is from the committee?

nothingcomestonothing · 23/05/2022 23:22

I will enjoy my resulting pay increase and the peace of mind that will come from statistically being much less likely to be raped.

I like this person's style!

Yep.

A great thank you to all who filled this out. At the very least it's clear that the majority are very much NOT in favour of the proposals.

I gave permission for my response to be published. But I can't find it online under my hame, and I don't know how to find out if a number has been assigned to it. Does anyone know how to find your response?

You can search the responses for keywords if you can think of any words in your response that might narrow the number of possibilities down a bit. Not sure how to find out what number has been allocated to a response.
