I think a lot of men are sexist...on the left and the right and in the middle. I've watched Bill Maher only sparingly in my life, so I'm not tuned into any humor of his that is sexist.
What I do know is that Bill Maher is a Democrat voting man who pissed off Trump and generally takes up causes on the left. Despite that, he's not afraid to make fun of Democrat politicians when it's funny. Most importantly for me as a feminist, he thinks abortion should be legal and safe for all women.
He can not be equated to Matt 'keep the patriarchy and my place on top of it' Walsh nor the the very dangerous Tucker Carlson who espouses white supremacist Replacement Theory.
I'd equate Maher to Dave Chappelle...also on the left, sometimes says sexist things, but generally a decent human who is not trying to bring our country into a theocracy nor a white man's paradise. VERY different.
What's good about Maher speaking on this topic is the strategic bump it gives to legitimizing the gender ideology insanity with a left leaning crowd. In the U.S., it's the left that needs persuading....we need left-leaning and moderate voters to put pressure on this issue.
