I've seen a lot of respected feminist posters excited about this documentary, which on its own may contain useful content. But I want to ask, why promote a misogynist just because he has the right talking points on gender ideology? Women are about to lose abortion rights in my country. Matt Walsh has said women who are pro-choice are "repulsive."

I urge you to check out this thread on Ovarit where women have documented all the work feminists have been doing already, and how Walsh ignores us. Walsh sees this GC issue not through feminist eyes, but as a way to push his own brand and claim himself leader of this issue. Please stop falling for it.

If you want to bring race and / or sex into the question then black men are the main perpetrators and victims of gun crime overall and gun homicide in the US on a per-capita basis.

He's a sexist but not a misogynist. Much like my father was. He is on the side of women "being private property" and not "public property." I think we should use his work only so far as it benefits us.

I'm familiar with Matt Walsh's views and current USA politics, & seek content from a variety of sources, and I disagree with you.

I don't think he's a misogynist or supports white supremacy. I do think he takes a very conservative position on issues but all within the bounds of acceptable opinions to hold, even if you disagree.

I don't agree with him on everything, and I do find him aggressive and judgemental at times towards people on the other side.

From your use here of slurs suggesting a motivation of hatred towards and black people & women I also judge you to be similarly extreme and tribal.

Im not sure how me saying I don’t think Tucker Carolson is a nice person due to his beliefs that I personally am not willing to overlook, means that no one is allowed to talk to him. I even said people are free to overlook his beliefs if they wish. There’s plenty that actively agree with many of his beliefs.

It's his brand of GC...it's not feminism. The propaganda is Walsh's brand, which promotes a conservative view of the patriarchy, gun rights and libertarianism.

I am concerned that it thwarts our ability to be taken seriously by the left..the group that needs persuading.

Feminism's biggest threat in the US is firstly from our right (abortion) and secondly from our left (gender ideology). Persuading the left that gender ideology harms women is a goal for many feminists in my country primarily because we know the right isn't our ally...but the left might be if properly persuaded (we have no viable alternate choices). We like to point to countries where feminism has stood up to gender ideology and we like to use resources like, "Hey, read Helen Joyce, check out Mumsnet!" I fucking praise you UK feminists all the time, so ffs, give me some respect back (can't tell you how many times I've pitched American MSM and referenced FWR).

The Matt Walshes and Tucker Carlsons are a thorn in our side...and when you take offense instead of listening to our struggles it's madly frustrating. I'd be on YOUR side if you asked me to help...that's what I'm asking...if it's an American conservative man, please consider the source and don't give him oxygen.

Maybe that's the difference between us - I think that's pointless and, while I don’t pretend to understand US politics, I admit I find the loyalty to the democrats quite baffling considering how they’re screwing you over at the moment.

I guess a lot of UK GC feminists, and certainly me included, no longer consider either the left or the right to be our allies. I don't believe either can be trusted with women's rights and I've begun to think the only way forward is for women on the right and left to put aside our differences and, where there is common ground, work together.

It sounds like that would be impossible in the US however.

If I was in the US after Loudoun County I would never trust Democrats again. And to top it off, the when it was finally admitted that yes, a girl had been sodomised by a boy in a skirt, the Washington Post wrote a slut-shaming article about the girl’s sexual history.
