One minor aspect which I don’t think anyone has noted yet on this thread is that the PE article is very carefully worded, twice referencing ‘Guardian/Observer’ journalists. OJ’s rebuttal references only Guardian. It’s become pretty clear that the O has been much more willing to host columnists who question trans philosophy than the G has been. I question whether perhaps this is a bit of sleight of hand on his part to enable him to appear to deny the allegations.

Has anyone managed to find this official statement from the Guardian, other than the image OJ made up and shared?

I half wondered if there would be a "my account got hacked" line at some point.

You would think that if that Guardian statement is real, OJ would insist on them putting out something that doesn't look like it was bashed out on the Notes of someone's phone.

I really doubt the presence of a brain in people like this. The logic seems to be, "He was nice to me/did a good thing once therefore he definitely can't ever have bullied anyone." It's the most bizarre black and white thinking.
Oh and good to see Damien Barr (of the t-slur joke) agreeing with the idiocy.

I don’t think Owen’s time is up. He’s the overlord of white middle class men who want to feel woke and ‘progressive’ while, of course, looking to another middle class white man as the authority on all of it.

The thing is, Owen doesn’t just want the TRA lobby to succeed, he needs them to - the alternative is he is exposed as a raging misogynist who ‘inadvertently’ advocates for women to be sexually abused and stripped of their rightful places in this world. Which will look very bad indeed.
