Boris Speaks!

Sky News.

He thinks it's unfair for biological men to compete in women's sports.

He says it's important to preserve women's spaces.

Says he has a lot to learn about the issue but we have to be sensible.

OP posts:

Another one here worried about what seems like an attack on gillick competence.
It's disturbing that people seem OK with taking away choice and bodily autonomy.
That most certainly can affect women.

GoodJanetBadJanet · 06/04/2022 23:10

A vote for Boris is a vote for women and girls
Seriously?!
I'm sorry but that's laughable.

Wellwhichisit · 06/04/2022 23:10

Wonder how Crispin Blunt is feeling today....

knowinglesseveryday · 06/04/2022 23:11

@JDlaguar

At last a grown up has spoken!

A vote for Boris is a vote for women and girls.

Fucking Hell. I've heard it all now.
GoodJanetBadJanet · 06/04/2022 23:14

That said I agree with them and reluctantly would vote for them as I cannot vote labour or Lib Dem as o usually do this is a hill I will die on.

That’s the whole point.
To ensure that people who normally would NEVER endorse their policies on the NHS/poverty/immigration/civil liberties etc… will still vote for them

Completely agree Sad

You think Liar Starmer cares about women's rights?

Newsflash - he doesn’t.

We know Starmer doesn’t give a shit about women but we also know that Boris doesn’t either & is playing party politics.

Daily Mail giving a shit about feminism and backing women
Really?!
They give as much a shit about feminism as BJ does.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 06/04/2022 23:34

Calling people with legitimate concerns 'gammons' always goes so well in this country doesn't it? And this is why the left always fucks it up and loses support - they just can't help themselves from being dismissive and insulting!

This.

He's woken up and smelt the coffee, he heard the women roar and has reponded. You only have to see how the Daily Mail is backing feminists to the hilt to know that the right is the only choice for women.

Oh please, I’m getting some great laughs tonight off mumsnet!

“Well, I think that you have to see Boris as a career map. He works it out, he decides which way the wind is blowing, and that wonderful phrase about a politician - a man who waits to see the way the crowd is running and then dashes in front and says, ‘Follow me’.”

Lord Heseltine

GoodJanetBadJanet · 06/04/2022 23:41

I'm not worried about sharing spaces with trans women.
I AM worried that so many people seem to think taking away bodily autonomy is a good thing.
That they see Boris Johnson as a saviour for women and girls everywhere.
That they think the Daily Mail is a champion for women too (we all know how much they appreciate single mums, women's looks in the sidebar of shame etc etc etc)
Don't kid yourself they give a shit about women just because they are platforming trans issues.
They only do when it benefits them.
In this case, seems like putting trans people back in their box. Sad

He cheated on his wife while she was suffering with cancer & then he cheated on that one, that’s how much Boris thinks of women.

Oh look here’s an article about it in the Tory rag @JDlaguar
www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-7345863/amp/Boris-Johnsons-estranged-wife-Marina-Wheeler-diagnosed-cervical-cancer-three-months-ago.html

PurgatoryOfPotholes · 06/04/2022 23:45

Lord Heseltine wasn't wrong.

So I still find it bizarre that Starmer is opting to bravely lie down in the road to be trampled, in the direct path of the crowd - and Johnson!

I AM worried that so many people seem to think taking away bodily autonomy is a good thing.

At one point, a certain tax lawyer seemed to be arguing that children didn't need to consent to being put on medication to interfere with puberty, if their parents could consent for them. Which was a position too extreme for the Tavistock which had already said the child's assent was non-negotiable. And I should hope so too.

HRTQueen · 06/04/2022 23:50

Not allowing males in female only spaces isn’t about putting trans people anywhere it is about females being safe and feeling safe
