Unwillingly recalling him boasting that he's "spanked 2000 cute butts" as part of his personal sex life and/or in providing 'kink training'. And it's made me think that while I was wondering how tf Brinton was appointed to a position requiring character which, ideally, is risk-adverse, low on impulsivity, and immune to blackmail^, I'd not thought about how much opportunity he might have to, himself, be the blackmailer.
With his 'kink training' and other sex workshops, and personal dungeon activities, the "2000 cute butts" indicate he's sexually interacted with a helluva lot of people, and with his Trevor Project status, I'd guess he'd be coming across encountering a range of people from ordinary to high status, who may be less keen to have their partners/employers/customers/families etc aware of their gay pup play.
Not accusing, obviously. Just pondering.
Also, seeing Brinton reply, in June, to someone tweeting praise for his Valley Of The Dolls type reddish-orange jumpsuit-thing, by claiming ' I never spend more than $20 on an outfit. Most of my fashion is Goodwill"... made me think that, (in light of allegations since then) Brinton may well be the sort of person who likes to flaunt his stolen gear in public while giving a 'plausible deniability' cover story, even (or especially?) if it's not actually too plausible-His outfits don't at all strike me as under $20, even if from a flash thrift store). To further fuck with his victims' heads.
^When it's porn or fetishes, I tend to believe Jon K Uhler, who says that whatever deviant men may admit to watching/doing, you can be sure there's worse that they're keeping secret.
So I don't believe that broadcasting his 'pup play' and Shibari links mean he's so open that he's unable to be blackmailed.
