"Brinton has been unapologetic about LGBTQ+ rights, and has a history of promoting sexual fetishes and kinks related to animal role-playing. They gave a talk on 'kink exploration' at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 2017. Brinton talked about their own experiences with 'pup play,' domination and how to safely choke one's partner.

They told of one experience how they like to tie up his partner like a table and eat dinner on him while they watch Star Trek. "

Yeah, the world is down the pan.
Is it even worth fighting anymore?
Of course it is, I just keep thinking I've peaked and then I read a story like this.

I've been reading a fair bit about the case this past week and it's been suggested that he didn't in fact have the experience and skills required for a post at that level. The tier below maybe (or the one below that) but not the prestigious senior management tier he was in. This has come from sources within the DoE.

I appreciate he has a degree from Kansas State and more impressively a dual masters from MIT however he only graduated the latter in 2013. In the following 8 years he held a few different policy posts but spent 4 of those years at The Trevor Project in a LGBTQ+ activism/advocacy post. In fact that was the post he occupied immediately prior to pursuing his US government appointment. All in all he had roughly 4 years total experience working in nuclear and policy roles. DoE sources have quoted that this is absolutely unheard of at the SES level.

Just popping this in for context, as the DM story still refers to Brinton’s “success” in campaigning against conversion therapy

It very much looks as though Brinton’s dishonesty runs deeper than just getting a kick out of stealing suitcases from unsuspecting women. The whole backstory appears to be utter fabricated bollocks.

You’d imagine that such a senior appointment would have been thoroughly vetted, wouldn’t you? Officials appear to have been blinded by rainbows again.

Apparently his family, including his "estranged" father (and mother) were at his MIT graduation. He's thrown his family under the bus before and since when recounting his 'conversion therapy' story yet they were on good enough terms to attend his graduation when he was 26 or so?

Can't wait for the coverage of this on MSNBC or Young Turks or the Daily Show. Used to avidly watch all of these. Not any more

Wonder what prison Sam Brinton will go to

Unwillingly recalling him boasting that he's "spanked 2000 cute butts" as part of his personal sex life and/or in providing 'kink training'. And it's made me think that while I was wondering how tf Brinton was appointed to a position requiring character which, ideally, is risk-adverse, low on impulsivity, and immune to blackmail^, I'd not thought about how much opportunity he might have to, himself, be the blackmailer.

With his 'kink training' and other sex workshops, and personal dungeon activities, the "2000 cute butts" indicate he's sexually interacted with a helluva lot of people, and with his Trevor Project status, I'd guess he'd be coming across encountering a range of people from ordinary to high status, who may be less keen to have their partners/employers/customers/families etc aware of their gay pup play.

Not accusing, obviously. Just pondering.

Also, seeing Brinton reply, in June, to someone tweeting praise for his Valley Of The Dolls type reddish-orange jumpsuit-thing, by claiming ' I never spend more than $20 on an outfit. Most of my fashion is Goodwill"... made me think that, (in light of allegations since then) Brinton may well be the sort of person who likes to flaunt his stolen gear in public while giving a 'plausible deniability' cover story, even (or especially?) if it's not actually too plausible-His outfits don't at all strike me as under $20, even if from a flash thrift store). To further fuck with his victims' heads.

^When it's porn or fetishes, I tend to believe Jon K Uhler, who says that whatever deviant men may admit to watching/doing, you can be sure there's worse that they're keeping secret.

So I don't believe that broadcasting his 'pup play' and Shibari links mean he's so open that he's unable to be blackmailed.
