www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-10520757/Biden-taps-non-binary-drag-queen-look-nuclear-waste.html

"Brinton has been unapologetic about LGBTQ+ rights, and has a history of promoting sexual fetishes and kinks related to animal role-playing. They gave a talk on 'kink exploration' at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 2017. Brinton talked about their own experiences with 'pup play,' domination and how to safely choke one's partner.

They told of one experience how they like to tie up his partner like a table and eat dinner on him while they watch Star Trek. "

Yeah, the world is down the pan.
Is it even worth fighting anymore?
Of course it is, I just keep thinking I've peaked and then I read a story like this.

On a positive note, it's nice to see police taking action on a theft, and actually tracking down the perpetrator. Although it wasn't exactly rocket science.

Brinton was apparently working on the assumption of nothing ever catching up with him, no matter how blatant.

After the suitcase's owner alerted police, officers reviewed video surveillance of the carousel and identified Brinton taking the luggage before removing its tag identifying the owner, the court filings stated. Law enforcement observed Brinton using the luggage during at least two other trips to Washington, D.C., on Sept. 18 and Oct. 9.

That's even weirder. Was it just the bloody suitcase he was after? If it's the one in the picture, it's completely unremarkable.

If it's just the thrill, it's another odd one. I can't imagine being that excited by using a stolen suitcase. 😁

AlisonDonut · 29/11/2022 09:16

I wonder if he clocked the owner checking it in, it doesn't say whether she was on the same flight or not.

NecessaryScene · 29/11/2022 09:24

I imagine the primary drive is violating a woman's privacy and getting to rustle through the underwear. Keeping the suitcase and using it is then a kind of bonus trophy, where you get to flaunt what you're doing without anyone else picking up on it. (cf all the things being smuggled into Balenciaga photoshoots, until they got greedy).

I suppose it's possible a particular woman was targetted, having being spotted during check-in. Or maybe it could have been any woman's, just identifying it as female, from the tag or other "gendered" cues?

Or maybe he's totally non-binary, and it just happened to be a woman's by chance? Would be equally happy rustling through male or female underwear?

Or maybe it's just a really good suitcase? Out of production, no longer available, sort of thing?

Every scenario is daft, but I think the male fetish for female underwear rummaging is the only one that makes me go "oh, that daft thing again."

beastlyslumber · 29/11/2022 09:27

Sorry, I don't trust anyone to work on nuclear power or other complex infrastructure if they don't know what a woman is. Or are prepared to lie about it. Some things are too fundamental.

Helleofabore · 29/11/2022 09:28

I can't imagine being that excited by using a stolen suitcase. 😁

I always say ‘I can’t imagine being that excited by …’ and then people post links to males getting their penises caught in road man hole covers, or in pavements and now unfortunately, I CAN imagine.

Yes. I should imagine there are quite a few men, maybe more those who enjoy drag, who fondly think most women wear nothing but racy, lacy underwear.

I can easily see him thinking, oh it's a woman's suitcase, it must be full of thongs.

DameMaud · 29/11/2022 10:24

He would have been soooo disappointed if he'd taken my suitcase. I don't think Bridget Jones knickers would do it really.

Also, why do we need to know all this stuff about this person? Who benefits from that?

I am so slow. This bring your whole self to work is to break down boundaries and normalise kink and fetishes.

Took me long enough for it to click.

It must deliver such a short term hit, though. Once the thrill of witnessing your co-workers’ discomfort wears off, and your co-workers become bored and desensitised by being forced to imagine you becoming aroused by violence and inanimate objects, where next?

Grayson Perry said that public acceptance for his female persona took much of the thrill away from him so he did it less. (I know he's a devisive figure, for what it's worth I appreciate that he is honest about his particular fetish at a time when many refuse to be).

I don't think it is the one in the picture. The Mail caption seems to be saying Brinton is charged with stealing the woman's suitcase later on that trip.

Also, the stolen suitcase is a Vera Bradley one. As soon as I read that I thought Brinton took it in the expectation that it belonged to a woman.

I enjoyed the mangled pronouns in his quote:
"Nuclear engineer Sam Brinton was seen heading to the airport with a suitcase earlier in the year. On the trip he allegedly took another woman's case, they did not have any bags with them."

Oh Vipers could you not be more sympathetic to this brave sexless soul? Property is a form of oppression to brave queer activists like this! The fact they've got a top job and lots of money doesn't matter, what matters is they get everything they want, the second they want it! The woman who's suitcase was taken should have been honoured, I have to assume she's a transphobic bigot.

KatMcBundleFace · 29/11/2022 12:22

Oooo the suitcase was worth $2,325

I suspect they/them hoped for valuable female clothes inside, for dress up purposes.

Helleofabore · 29/11/2022 12:39

No the value of the items in the stolen bag was $2325.

Helleofabore · 29/11/2022 12:41

No... I take that back. The mail says items in the bag and fox says the suitcase itself. Very confusing. Sorry kat

GarethSouthgatesWaistcoat · 29/11/2022 13:27

No he admits it but it was because he was 'tired'.

They have CCTV evidence of him removing the name tag.

I wonder if this is the first time he's done it 👀

GarethSouthgatesWaistcoat · 29/11/2022 13:28
  • now he admits it
bellinisurge · 29/11/2022 13:32

What a massive wanker. And a cheap little thief.

I could weep at that mangled sentence.

Ah, that makes much more sense. He has a top job, so it's not the money. He's can buy any clothes, or suitcase, himself, in person or online. And clearly does.

It's got to be the thrill of them belonging to a woman. The illicit nature of their acquisition. The transgression, the infringement, all at her expense. And because she's a woman.

The misogyny never lets up, does it.

judaskween · 30/11/2022 13:07

Cope bozo

nilsmousehammer · 30/11/2022 13:13

Hm. Person who is very open about their celebration of breaking other people's boundaries escalates.

Gosh I'm surprised. Were you surprised? I was surprised...

IcakethereforeIam · 30/11/2022 13:18

That explains the Moley tweet!

EsmaCannonball · 30/11/2022 13:59

The kind of creepy man who used to steal women's knickers from washing lines, only now he's celebrated and validated, and any woman who dares suggest he's getting a very public thrill from a fetish (one which depends on the public being a non-consenting witness to his shenanigans) is a nasty, pearl-clutching bigot.

GarethSouthgatesWaistcoat · 13/12/2022 00:47

Media are reporting he's now been fired (I hope he wasn't given a chance to resign first).

Here's an article by Sam from 2015 defending/encouraging LGBTQ+ youth's right to sex work. He's careful not to specify but his words strongly imply minors since they've been rejected by their family and are unable to get any traditional work seemingly:

He seems qualified and experienced enough so, its fine. What's not fine is that, he is a thief. Outstanding felony charges for stealing people's luggage from airports. He's been caught twice, which doesn't mean he's only stolen twice. I think the job appointment has been withdrawn, and thats how it should be given he's a dishonest person.
