Yes, I think plopper is confusing cancel culture with being kicked off the site for failing to remain within the rules.

And I'm still absolutely no clearer about what their point was in the first place.

I didn't report individual posts but the overall pattern of posting. Posters can and have been banned in the past for persistent derailing and/or not engaging in good faith, even if individual posts don't actually cross the line.

I'm sick of this shit, which has plagued MN in general, and FWR in particular for years and I will continue to report it when I see it.

It was obvious from the get go.

It strikes me that the theme of ploppers comments might well have been due to nursing a wound over a previous banning.

It would explain all the cancel culture nonsense, echo chambers, and general misogyny without wanting to to engage on any of the specific points and knowing nothing about them.
