And I actually thought MP had been banned but clearly not, I guess their post, which should be allowed to stand, shows the contempt they actually have for women when they mention politeness and respect in relation to a tweet about rapists. Quite shocking really.

Thank you JK. This is the thing that worries me most, the fact that women are being blamed for men's crimes. I know there are far worse issues, but this is the one that really makes me sick.

I love how she just unashamedly voices her opinion, whatever it may be or however unpopular it may be.

Shouldn't that be "bepenised"? I don't think so. We say winged and two-legged, not bewinged etc. And bepenised could be understood to follow the pattern of beheaded, changing the meaning rather drastically.

Quite an appropriate parsing of 'bepenised'.

Alternatively the 'be-' could have the same sense as in 'bedecked'. Giving the impression that the individual has had a penis bestowed upon them. Or multiple penises (penes?). Even on their head.

JKR lives in Scotland. I live in Scotland. I don't think some people realise what is happening in Scotland. Nonsense like this ( see attached). A project for Women returning to work. Women who have to renegotiate their entrance to the work place because of absences for childbirth and rearing, elderly parental responsibilities, childcare responsibilities - the constant fucking juggling, compromise, sacrifice... and on line 1 of the description of what you need to qualify for this help? 'Identify as a women' (sic)

Is everyone seeing JKRs tweets?

I had a look and she had surprisingly few likes and comments and also wasn't trending.

I'm not sure if her tweets over the past few weeks have shown up on my timeline because I've been on Twitter less often but my like on her previous tweet keeps dropping off.

I'm not on Twitter and don't know how to view the thread or trending, but the tweet has 22.4K likes which doesn't seem bad in 4hrs!

Currently 22.7 likes, over 7,500 retweets and over 1,500 replies (mainly positive).

Not sure why Twitter isn't letting you see it.

That project (and rest of the gender equality stuff the Scottish Government are doing) seems to have been heavily advised by Engender, who refer to women as 'non-trans women'. I quote from the FAQ on their website - 'We support self-ID, and therefore welcome trans women, non-trans women, and those who identify as women.'

They actually refer to women as 'non-trans women'. It's mind boggling. And this is the 'main' feminist organisation in Scotland and the one which advises the SG.

I'm Scottish too and I despair about the situation here for women. It's going to take decades to sort this nonsense out.

Well there's over a thousand more of them than there were before I went to put the dog to bed so the bad magic doesn't seem to have kicked in yet.

Yes the numbers keep ticking up ErrolTheDragon but often you go back & find that your "like" has slipped & you need to re-like. Has only happened for me with JKR's tweets & I know others have found the same - always makes me wonder if the true numbers are far higher
