Well, I would think (but I am not sure) that confident, sex educator would say that if a woman had a penis (and she had told us repeatedly this is possible) that they would be doing it if the law allowed. She did indicate that many females masturbated in toilets and, I think, in their offices.

I think the newspaper are doing a very good job of highlight the issue with that clear headline. If they said transwomen or he or didn’t include penis in the headline it wouldn’t be clear what is happening and they would risk being called transphobic. The headline makes it clear someone who is claiming to be female is a dangerous man pretending to be a women.

That person is not a woman. Women don't have pensises.

I agree with pp's who say that this headline is actually helpful. Mentioning 'woman' and 'penis' in the headline exposes (ha!) how utterly ludicrous this whole 'Emperor's New Clothes' situation has become. Maybe more people will be galvanised into speaking out about the dangers of allowing this gaslighting of society to continue.

In the context of crimes, it's "woman" when they are the accused, and it's "trans woman" (+ transphobic hate crime, most oppressed etc etc) when they are the victim.

Totally agree.

Hellebore interesting that you note this. I was talking to friend / colleague, someone I respect for her feminism and intelligence, on the TWAW issue and DV refuges. Her position was that we needed to assume ‘good faith’.

When I mentioned examples that called for caution, she said something about one high profile media story distorting the wider picture. My response was well how many incidents would be enough? Isn’t just one case enough to call for some caution on dismantling single sex spaces? But it seems the answer to that must be ‘no’.

This wasn’t an extreme trans activist. This was an intelligent and lovely person coming from a position of good faith and sisterhood. Morever, my sense was also that her mind was set on this issue and that nothing said would change it. The whole Terf accusation has stuck enough to the point that even just questioning what’s happening renders the questioner as the bigot and therefore anything being said by them to be dismissed.

How disgusting, custody is the best option, there is a proved link between sexual deviance like this and escalation. Lets hope the new assessments will ensure the placement is correct given the sexual element.

Yes.

This has been quite a hard month for trans activists though. The ones who are genuinely seeking to have dialogue and find an equitable solution (and there are quite a number who are willing to work with women) must be appalled.

Last month, wehave petulant protestors shouting down women naming women who have died due to male violence last month. Complete with ‘suck my trans dick you cunt’ signage. AND the bullying of Dr Stock that continues to be discussed at parliamentary level.

This week, we have had three PR hungry actors doxxing Joanne Rowling without a care and then calling transphobia when people told them to remove the photos. We have the arrogance of a Dr barely even registered who publishes his defence tactic with the supreme belief he will get off completely free.

We have the GG divisional commissioner who is proudly posting in a sexual nature despite the fact they know the code of conduct for GG because they are also responsible for making sure others uphold it.

We have trans academics seeking to ‘rebrand’ paedophilia to a term less stigmatising.

We have this ‘woman’ masturbating in public after being previously jailed for sexually assaulting an 11 yr old girl.

And we have IWilloughby tweeting that butch lesbians are just jealous of transitioned females.

It is hard to keep up the narrative when there seem to be a visible high percentage of their group who are male, who feel a sense of entitlement that they can act outside societal boundaries.

Or that they should widen societal sexual boundaries in this case.
