I dare say that the TRAs have a point here. They were very willing to be morally outraged when it meant throwing a friend under the bus, but now it may impact their own pocket suddenly they're not so sure. Did someone say luxury beliefs?

This is where I sit, although of course I condemn any abuse. But it’s perfectly valid to point out that if you truly think jkr is a raving transphobe then it is hypocritical to turn up and smile for another HP show.

Yes, I agree. I think they could have normalised disagreeing with someone (if they do) respectfully and could also make it clear she's not done the thing she's accused of.

It kept coming to mind whilst I was listening to Helen Joyce and Kathleen Stock's audio books. It kept striking me that it isn't kind to pretend that people can change sex, at some point they will have to deal with the reality of their sex and it will be all the harder because people have tried to protect them from it.

Particularly for kids who are socially transitioned young.
