Has retweeted an article from the Toronto Star "why can't we say woman anymore" and bloody hell are they coming for the latest witch burning in the comments!

Ranging from disappointment to the usual sweary abuse. I thought oh how long till the capitulation begins, turns out I didn't have to wait long!

She's following it up with retweets about 'we can say people when it's accurate and inclusive' and then defending the article because the writer isn't "a terf"???

Not really sure what she's trying to achieve here, anyone?

I am so pleased to see scientists whose names we recognise attempting to engage with her about why she places inappropriate store by the shoddy SciAm article she tweeted. I'm so proud of them and the way that they are turning out for science, for mutual respect, and for civil discourse. Cis people are the dominant oppressor group, and trans people are the marginalized group. Cis people lack trans people's lived experienced with societal transphobia.

I have nothing but admiration for her.

She’s hardly listening when she retweets a video full of proven lies about Maya.

She claims not to know what 'gc' means. So how is she listening to that 'side' of the argument? So far, as far as I can see, she's read nothing at all that would be called 'gc'. Only asked some mild questions of the genderist side. Which, as we know, is verboten, hence the doxxing, rape and death threats.

Jammidoger has made a lot of money from that video that attacks JK Rowling and attacks Maya with false accusations. TRA woke teachers. /teaching assistants in schools link to this video to silence school kids questioning their beliefs. Detransitioners mention trans men YT videos that told them life would be great and now they regret watching them. and Margaret Attwood promotes it even after the vile abuse she's received. Not innocent. Not kind. Not harmless

I really couldn't have less respect for MA now- set her 2million followers on JKR & Maya FFS. Maya who is of course utterly brilliant but also a normal person without access to security etc

I'm so angry; the longer she went the more hopeful I got but all she has done is taught them to keep up the vile abuse for longer on the next woman who speaks up, it would have better if she had kept quiet.

I'm worried for her tbh. I hope she has good people around her in real life. She should probably just leave twitter for a little while and regroup. I hope she has someone around who can give her that advice.

I didn't say I was only and exclusively worried about Atwood? I hadnt even seen the post about Maya when I posted. But can we just take it as read that I'm scared for any woman targeted by this mob, whether or not their name comes up in this conversation.
