So, just to clarify… there were actual counter protesters there? wearing shirts with logos of alternative lobby groups?

BBC Scotland Nine news covered demo. Quite a reasonable report for once.

She wouldn’t know a facist if one turned up in their brown shirt. Absolute embarrassment but I think the message is slowly getting through to the general population.

I was under the impression he was tiny (don't know why) but saw Marion's selfie with him and she said he's 6ft 5

Evangelical Christianity isn't huge in this country I don't think, and at least the people I've come across have been left wing not right wing. One was decidedly homophobic and thought cross dressing was a sin (I mean where do you start with that?) so presumably also transphobic in the real sense of the word. Chance of them giving money to a bunch of women and LGB activists far side of zero.

Evangelical Christianity isn't huge in this country

The “Christian" right as it exists in America barely exists at all in this country.

Most people of faith who are politically active here are focused on peace activism and social justice and would probably be regarded as Communists in the US.

Of course she does, seems for some women are never going to be equal to men. Now the snp are properly with the greens, they'll hold up the 'non-men' tag. It's chilling that this is the view of a female alleged 'equalities' minister!

It was an amazing rally, even if it was only an hour!!

Counter protesters seemed about 50 or so.
Cars were going by and honking in support of our rally and we would cheer.

Caroline McAllister gave a rousing speech and the noise from the crowd was electric! So many more people this time compared to the previous demo in March last year. And we didn't have cars and vans honking support then.

Some numpty with a megaphone and that awful version of the rainbow flag barged into our crowd, clearly trying to start a fight. I'm glad no one took the bait. It was incredibly symbolic of the entire gender movement against women - rude, disrespectful and pushing and inserting themselves where they aren't wanted. You couldn't have asked for a better example.
