My thread asking about transwomen/transitioning/penises has been deleted.

Why are we not allowed to discuss this? It’s a genuine question and extremely relevant to the debate about transwomen entering female spaces.

There was no abuse of trans people that I could see aside from a few people attempting to derail by saying that they couldn’t see why women might be concerned about having to share their space!

This isn’t right

@Helleofabore
"The proportion of males who identify as women in prison for sex crimes is significantly higher than those of females in prison for sex crimes."

Proportion, huh? But I bet there are more cis women who are sexual criminals in total.

This argument isn't unfamiliar to me. Racists love their crime statistics, talking constantly how much violent crime is committed by black people, or how much child sexual abuse is committed by gay people, proportional to their population.

And as I had said previously, those arguments are rightfully disregarded.

ArabellaScott · 08/08/2021 13:59

So, in order to satisfy the desires of males who feel uncomfortable about their 'gender', women have to lose their single sex spaces? Despite the camaraderie, strength and value to women and girls that has been a feature of women only spaces for generations? And despite the fact that this idea doesn't take into account the many practical reasons mothers have to take their young children with them into spaces.

I see. Seems fair.

CardinalLolzy · 08/08/2021 14:02

Shall we perhaps not get bogged down with posters who can't even define the 'trans' status they insist we discriminate on and who openly admits to reading different words from what are actually posted?

I can't see that being particularly productive.

ArabellaScott · 08/08/2021 14:02

Do you really?

Ninkanink · 08/08/2021 14:02

It is so clear when someone is looking through a male lens.

The % of women who commit ‘sex crimes’ is vanishingly low. It doesn’t compare in any way to incidence of male crime.

That is why we don’t want males in our spaces.

Jorrris · 08/08/2021 14:02

Incorrect. ☺️

Helleofabore · 08/08/2021 14:03

Maybe blue you should really go and study maths and how statistics work. Particularly %s.

You have simply lost any tenuous credibility you thought you had. Not sure where you think you can go now.

But I am watching in interest. It really is a great live demonstration. Remarkable really.

And again, this poster clearly displays a complete lack of how safeguarding works.

I hope to god they don’t go anywhere near children.

Jorrris · 08/08/2021 14:07

It really does show up some of these so called activists for who they really are. The immaturity is astounding.

Helleofabore · 08/08/2021 14:08

People used to believe kids needed "safeguarding" from gay people on account of them being seen as "sexual deviants".

Your earlier homophobic comment BluebirdsSong shows that you still do think that.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 08/08/2021 14:14

It's not all about risk. Women have the right to privacy and dignity in a space away from males when they are undressed, asleep or otherwise vulnerable.

Why would male feelings trump this?

Jorrris · 08/08/2021 14:15

People used to believe kids needed "safeguarding" from gay people on account of them being seen as "sexual deviants".

That doesn't mean that we should now allow males to undress in the same space as women and girls, no matter what their gender identity is.

Whilst not all males are sex offenders, it is largely males who are sex offenders.

This is why we have sex segregated space.

Your argument does not hold water.

Helleofabore · 08/08/2021 14:18

Gay men were not attempting to access female single sex spaces.

And you keep ignoring that 98 % of sex crime is done by males. And all males, regardless of how they identify.

If you had proof that males who have identified as women reduced their propensity to commit sex crimes against women and children, you would have posted it. You have no proof, there is no proof.

All you have is repeating the same old line in as many different ways as you can.

But again. Please do continue so we can see every tactic used on this thread. There are a few you haven’t yet tried. You are obviously under the impression we haven’t seen them all, and, yesterday.

What, because I oppose you saying that exact thing about trans peoole?
Ninkanink · 08/08/2021 14:18

Trying again:

Calling ‘those girls’ a hypothetical entity made up purely for purposes of hatred is vile. It is also patently untrue.

RedDogsBeg · 08/08/2021 14:21

You've made your homophobic views crystal clear on this and other threads BluebirdsSong, they are there for everyone to read.

I think that is a very good idea.

CardinalLolzy · 08/08/2021 14:25

Is imasoulman still on this thread?
they said earlier:
"Perhaps I didn't word that very well, it hasn't come across as I meant.

I was trying to suggest that legislation should be changed to take cross dressers, self id'ers and the like out of the equation as far as safe spaces go.

I believe if would be useful all round to return to a point where there is a very clear distinction between a person who in simpler times would have been a "transsexual" and the rest of the people under the trans umbrella."

Do you (or anyone else) believe this is actually workable though? Could you draft a definition of transsexual that would differentiate clearly from other trans people?

I'm not even sure if there would be much point but I doubt it's even possible - would people treat/wish to treat these groups differently? (I know we have a mix of opinions generally on this)

Helleofabore · 08/08/2021 14:25

What, because I oppose you saying that exact thing about trans peoole?

Let’s be very clear.

Safeguarding focuses on people’s SEX!

And you are also showing your misogyny in that not once have you referred to female trans people. We happen to be quite focused on females of all gender identities. You keep forgetting those trans people.

The safeguarding processes are very different for females, of any gender identity compared to males. This is as it should be.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 08/08/2021 14:26

It's funny that there is this one group of women who male people fly to the defence of constantly. It's quite uncanny, I can't put my figure on what differentiates this one group from other women.

Helleofabore · 08/08/2021 14:26

Yes. Rather.
