So who is Kris “Deva” North? you might ask.

Mr North is a disciple of the extremely controversial pseudo-Taoist “Grandmaster” (pmsl) Mantak Chia, a mountebank of considerable notoriety whose self-proclaimed specialism is in “Taoist sexual secrets”, which are as evidence based and scientific as they sound.

Thus, if we examine Mr North’s website we find all the kinds of yoni massaging, culturally appropriated fruitloopery that appears on a routine and mundane basis on the websites of sex cults.

Of particular interest are “Taoist sweat lodges”, “Jade circles” for women (sexual secrets workshops including the jade vaginal eggs beloved of Gwyneth et al), and "Let your Inner Beauty Out” classes for women where women can learn, amongst other things, "ancient Tantric secrets from a Tantric Dakini and former L'oreal model”.

Couldn't see if anyone had posted the Glinner interview with James Esses

Trying to find a good therapist who will help a gender questioning teen not by facilitating an accelerated path to hormones/surgery but rather by offering space to reflect; providing thoughtful, compassionate questioning of what brought them to this point; showing curiousity about the impact of comorbidities and tough life experiences and encouraging realism rather than a Fantasy Quest is absolutely the Holy Grail for many loving parents of kids with gender dysphoria.

It is frustrating and ridiculous that it is the latter position which is framed as conversion therapy rather than the former. We need more James Esses rather than fewer.
