Germany, Cologne, July 3.

Six women were thrown out from #DykeMarchCologne for carrying signs that criticized #SelfID, #CompelledSpeech and one particularly shaped sign that said #LesbiansDontHavePenises.

I'm very alarmed at all this. Dd is a lesbian and I really had no idea about any of this. I tend to get my head snapped off if I ask questions around this trans thing in my family. I seem to be wrong whatever I say.

But there are lots of lesbians of the 'old' kind ready to have sex with lesbians with a lady penis.

There aren't that many, no, in practice. Funny that what people say isn't always what they mean.

I get the impression that my DD would only want a relationship with a female, but has friends who are 'queer' and so she's quite defensive about the whole thing. It's confusing and frustrating not being able to discuss it with her (she's late 20s so not a child who i need to protect) I've been told to educate myself but I can't ask questions (well, I think I can, but not any that might sound critical. Those are generally met with a flounce)

Which I hope is going to go towards building a community for younger lesbians where they can be truly proud to be who they are without feeling they must be circumspect for the sake of those who are not lesbians. It's a lonely, tough place to be when your peer group would cast you out for being clear about your boundaries.

I just feel very strongly that a lesbian woman should be able to go to a lesbian bar or an online date with a lesbian and be fairly sure that there won’t be a “penis surprise” lurking.

I am happily married to a penis haver myself and not looking for anyone else. But if I was single and for some reason doing online dating, I would be quite alarmed if the “man” I was dating turned out to have a vagina. Luckily, I have never heard of a womanvagina owner doing this.

Over the decades there have always unfortunately been subsets of lesbians that have tried to shame others amongst them.

There was shaming women that 'dressed like men.'

There was shaming women that used toys during sex

There was shaming bisexuals for selling out the lesbian community.

There have always attempts to purify the classification, which, when thinking of other historic occasions of attempt to purify social groups, is a bit worrying to my mind.

They want to have sex with women, because they are heterosexual. But heterosexual women only have sex with men. So they don't want those women because it doesn't validate the idea that they themselves are a woman.

So the cohort that works is lesbians.

Lesbians are woman so tick the right sex that they want to have sex with. And lesbians only have sex with women, so the self image is preserved.

The problem is that lesbians don't do dick.

But That's something they don't give a shit about, especially as they can now rename those women 'genital fetishists

I'm not surprised she's defensive. She will be navigating the mind fuck that says she's knows she's only same sex attracted but she can say so because it's transphobic. Which is social death.

All you can do is understand and support. I cant imagine how hard it is.

Women are making headway though. The LGB Alliance, Get the L out, etc.

Homosexual orientation is under attack. Just like women in general. But more and more people are becoming aware of exactly how pernicious the ideology is.

Michfest was a lesbian festival that had been going for decades. The TRAs got it shut down because it wouldn't allow males. In fact, some claim that males had been allowed in but activists tried shutting down any event they felt was male-exclusionary.

I can't imagine a gay men's festival being shut down because it wouldn't admit females. They wouldn't get anything like the same level of threats and intimidation.

I can't read any mention of Michfest without thinking of the shocking 2016 murders of regular attendees Patricia Wright and Charlotte Reed, along with their son Benny Diambu-Wright, allegedly at the hands of male activist Dana Rivers, who had protested Michfest as a participant in "Camp Trans" until the festival was finally shut down in 2015.

I am straight so not plugged into any lesbian scene and did not learn about the shutdown of Michfest and the horrific fates of Patricia, Charlotte, and Benny until I became concerned with encroachment on women's rights in general maybe circa 2017. Now I think of them regularly, wish everyone knew their story, and hope fervently for justice to be served.

More directly on-topic, I know many German women. They are a force to be reckoned with, and I wish these particular German women much success. Ja, na klar, Lesben haben keine Penisse!

There was a gay men only camping park and event that was targeted and shut down this year because the owner made a stance about same sex only.

It took years longer for it to happen with gay men than the lesbian spaces but it is happening now with increasing frequency.
