There's marmite in our butter and butter in our marmite. I'm fine with the slobby state of affairs. It'd be another matter if jam was introduced into the equation.
Please don't sneak jam in Maya!

ArabellaScott · 13/06/2021 23:03

My partner has trained our children to use a jam spoon. I get a right ticking off for using the knife and licking it afterwards

  • It's important to emphasise that the ruling does NOT give Maya Forstater the right to lick knives.

It is important to emphasise that the ruling does NOT give Maya Forstater the right to move to Mornington Crescent from Totteridge and Whetstone after a Goodge Street opener, even when rule 8 is not in force. Nor does it give Maya Forstater the right to use the Arbuckle gambit at will.

NecessaryScene · 14/06/2021 07:29

Nor does it give Maya Forstater the right to use the Arbuckle gambit at will.

But at least she will get to use it in games played between the next hearing and its judgment, so it wasn't a total waste of time.

Unless CGD decide to settle, of course, in which case she only gets a singleton on the day it's announced, which probably will be of little practical use.

sashh · 14/06/2021 07:45

OP

You quoted me in your opening post, I'm going to make myself a chuffy badge in suffragette colours.

highame · 14/06/2021 07:55

I wonder if they will settle? The company will work in their best interests. Last year I would have guessed they wouldn't have settled, but things have changed and Stonewall law has been widely discussed.
We would be better off with the full hearing, win or lose but these things are very stressful and the tribunal would take a dim view if CGD offered a good settlement and Maya turned it down. Rock/hard place.

Wrongsideofhistorymyarse · 14/06/2021 11:56

It's important to emphasise that the ruling does NOT give Maya Forstater the right to post in AIBU without actually specifying what she may (or may not) be unreasonable about.

WarriorN · 14/06/2021 13:11

Oh god I had the jam argument on mn once.

Apparently if you put butter in the jam it makes it mouldy. And actually now I've stopped it doesn't go mouldy unless I've made it and it wasn't hot enough

Jury was a bit out about the okayness of just skimming that bit off (mould has roots ....)

So now two knives/ spoon and knife but the bonus is two to lick!

Marmite is ok.

It's important to emphasise that the ruling does NOT give Maya Forstater the right to protest butter in the marmite.

langclegflavoredbananamush · 14/06/2021 13:23

It's important to emphasise that the ruling does NOT give Maya Forstater the right to claim that she is, in fact, a biological male and make us all pretend we believe her. Nor does it give her the right to squeeze peaches at the supermarket.

Wine

However it is important to emphasise that the ruling does NOT give Maya Forstater the right to make herself a chuffy badge in suffragette colours.

@MForstater has just been observed brazenly posting the following article on Twitter.

Badly behaved woman makes history

No shame. She's out of control.

We're all going to get butter in our jam, I can feel it. Angry

NecessaryScene · 04/08/2022 18:48

It's important to emphasise that the ruling does NOT give Maya Forstater the right to put jam before cream on scones.

Sorry to report, @WarOnWoman, but Maya's decline has continued:

It’s important to emphasize that the ruling does NOT give Maya Forstater the right to put the clean washing (which I put in her bedroom) back into the dirty laundry basket just because she can't be bothered to put it away.

I didn't know you knew my sons!
Wink

MrsSteveMcDonald · 04/08/2022 19:27

No problem with the order there but her cream looks a bit runny. Regardless of that fact, it's important to remember that the ruling does not give Maya the right to look back in anger or go breaking my heart

IcakethereforeIam · 04/08/2022 20:09

Thank you for resurrecting this thread, I missed it first time round Grin

On a related matter I don't believe the ruling gave Maya the right to call a scone, a scone.

If she's in Torquay she'll be cancelled for cultural appropriation. It's jam before cream in Cornwall and cream before jam in Devon.

MaudeYoung · 04/08/2022 21:04

When I was in Cornwall a few years ago, the café owner said it is easy to remember:

Jesus Christ! JC Jam and then Cream 😀

(Devon is obviously the opposite.)

The best response I ever saw was: if you get it wrong in the relevant county, turn your scone upside down.

And remember to pronounce your scone as 'scone'! 😆

Beansycheese · 04/08/2022 21:17

Did anyone say 'shot in your toilet whilst delivering your package?

Beansycheese · 04/08/2022 21:17

Shit. Shit. Shit. Shit.

I thought this one had gone to appeal?

happinesslovescompany · 04/08/2022 22:02

I'm so happy that no one else said it's important that this does NOT give Maya Forstater the right to set her pet spiders loose on your overnight line dried washing to rub their willies on

drhf · 04/08/2022 23:10

It's important to emphasise that this does NOT give Maya Forstater the right to exemption from imprisonment in one of those "compassionate non-violent" gulags when the revolution comes. It's the kind thing to do.
