Thought about it. Still a hate group.
So what?
The problem TRA's have is that for years the standard operating procedure has been to liberally shoot around words/phrases like "hate", "bigot", "transphobia", "T..F" and "#nodebate" as if fired from a Gatling gun with an endless supply of bullets.
Even the most ardent ally can find themselves in the firing line if they accidentally or unintentionally stray one iota off message and bullied into putting out painfully grovelling apologies and promises to "do better".
The thing is that over time those words from the same people on the same subject have lost their weight - much like a person who swears prolifically finds themselves unable to use profanity to underline a point.
They've become meaningless - you've made them meaningless. Not so much bullets any more, rather a predictable, mundane slur that's actually backfired by saying more about you than the people you're taking aim at.
Of course you think the LBGA are a hate group. I wouldn't expect you to think/say anything else.
So the reaction isn't shock. It doesn't make me think/feel any less of the person/organisation you're targeting.
The reaction is "meh" usually accompanied with an eye roll 🙄.
On the odd occasion if I can be arsed I might put in a tiny bit of effort by asking for evidence for such assertions, that I know won't be provided because such slurs are unfounded but that's not for you really.
I'm not all that interested in the opinion of someone who bandies such powerful words round so lightly and groundlessly.
That's for the lurkers - to underscore exactly why their reaction should be #MehToo...
