The organisation I helped found has lost its way since winning gay equality and is mired in an issue that isn’t its concern

Anyone got a share token?? SUCH a shame he wrote that recent article on travellers, as that will tarnish this, unfortunately.

Just watched Glinners latest video. Fantastic!

Belated thank you for the share token. Yes he’s still carefully hedging, isn’t he? But a cautious stand is still a stand. He has publicly said he’s no longer a member, and that he’s anti the forced teaming.

Loved all the comments!

I agree Choose plus, Matthew has riled stonewall, which is a huge bonus.

Good news in that I suspect he is not alone. Stonewall was huge for many gay men of his generation.

If Stonewall's core and loyal constituency are now asking questions and going as far as resigning, and he will not be alone, it will damage Stonewall's hold on the establishment.

Sounding cynical, but white urban educated men of Paris' age run things. They are MPs, newspaper columnists, senior lawyers, bankers and civil servants. Most will be heterosexual, but the societal change Stonewall helped effect, means that straight white men will defer to their gay colleagues on inclusion issues. Probably why Stonewall has become so influential in the corridors of power. Lose this constituency and they lose everything.

There’s a saying to always follow the money. It is alleged that Stonewall changed its focus to trans rights following substantial donations from the Arcus Foundation, set up by a man who owns a US medical company. Would this company stand to profit substantially from the medicalization of trans and surgeries that are happening?

Does anyone know more about this?

@MishyJDI

Sounds like this dude needs a history lesson about the LGBT community. Rather ironic really. Bigotry will not divide true LGBT+ solidarity. Respect, Equality and Love wins over hate - every time.
This is embarrassing for you.
Needmoresleep · 25/05/2021 09:08

Problem is that Paris was part of the history, not its rewrite.

@Needmoresleep

Problem is that Paris was part of the history, not its rewrite.
Just like those inconvenient lesbians & gays who started the LGB Alliance.
