200 inspiring people

I've been inspired by another poster's inclusion of a modern day hero in a thread.
en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sabrina_Cohen-Hatton
I'm a teacher currently on maternity leave and would like to do a 'hero a day' when I go back. I'll put the resource on tes as well so others can share it when I have a full set.
I need 200 inspiring people for the list. I'd like it to be representative of society. Obviously at least 50 percent women. At least 20% non white ethnicity and at least 20% disabled.
Ideally I would like people still alive, as I think there are enough lists about inspiring dead people. I'd like it to be the challenge to Kardashian and influencer culture.
I figured I will get some good suggestions on the feminist board. Kardashian's need not apply.

Jane Garvey (from Woman's Hour) has started a new series about life-changing events. She interviewed a woman called Grace Spence Green who was a trainee doctor and was out shopping one day in a mall and a man fell from the third floor and landed on top of her, causing her to be paralysed. It was one of the most inspirational podcasts I've heard. It's Spence Green here. She is absolutely amazing.

Thanks everyone. Great stuff. FYI I want to use it in primary, so no one with dodgy hobbies or nude photos etc please. (I'm sure you already thought of that!)

Hibo Wardere.
Bea Dean-Lewis.

LadyBuffOfBuffdonia · 28/04/2021 14:45

I think your entry is fine for primary if it's presented in the right way.
I'd like to include Hibo but that's the kind of thing I would have to check with parents.

I'll maybe tag ten or so (190 days in a school year) on at the end with parental guidance warning.
