Shout out to my fellow lesbians on this important week!

I will be wearing my lesbian pride badge right next to my trans pride badge for the whole week in all public spaces.

*It's creepy and manipulative to appropriate other people's experiences for your own gains.

But still you persist.*

A thousand times this. Flowers

CorvusPurpureus · 29/04/2021 23:02

@ASugarr

And neither is she.
I don't think anyone's ordering Shizuku to take a break or reflect on their posts.

I'd say their posts have largely achieved what they were designed to achieve, & Shizuku is free to continue posting if they feel they are delivering their argument effectively.

Shizuku, however, feels that they have an entitlement to tell women to shut up.

That's a Nope.

Unreasonabubble · 29/04/2021 23:03

Grin Grin Grin I think you just lost the argument @ASugarr

Whythesadface · 29/04/2021 23:03

We are asking you too look because your getting fact and fantasy mixed up.
Ducks, as feathers fly over the truth bit about a man never being a woman.

PurgatoryOfPotholes · 29/04/2021 23:04

It's a bit creepy to refer to people by their genitals! However, in a world where that is normalised, then queries about genitals must surely follow. Confused

It's one of the many reasons I object to calling women "people with vulvas/vaginas" and I think the words woman and man should remain sex terms, instead of becoming gender terms.

J060 · 29/04/2021 23:04

Sorry, I just got a bit confused when asked about the lesbians who were not cis or trans.
I thought most lesbians either identify with thier birth sex or don’t, so I was struggling to think who else you would be referring to.

ASugarr · 29/04/2021 23:04

@Unreasonabubble

Grin Grin Grin I think you just lost the argument *@ASugarr*
No I think you have. Because you all started off by saying a trans woman can't be a lesbian but now you are asking what genitals she has. What difference does it make to your belief she she has a penis or a vagina? She still is a woman regardless.
Unreasonabubble · 29/04/2021 23:07

@ASugarr now you are boring me.

But that isn't asking you personal questions. That isn't invading your privacy.

Now it seems you've lost this argument 🤍

So define woman - without resorting to gender stereotypes.

Erkrie · 29/04/2021 23:08

now you are boring me.

Well you did well to get this far.

TinselAngel · 29/04/2021 23:08

I've got a vagina, if anybody is interested.

I'm glad you used the word "belief" there, ASugarr.
A penis plays no part in what I believe a lesbian to be.

Identifying as a woman. That's it.

Indeed - if the whole edifice of an entire ideology is arranged purely around the specific terminological differences between what's in one's head and what's in one's underwear, why is it some kind of taboo to ask who's got what? You can't build an entire framework of ideas around something, then get all coy and mystifying and call "bullies!" when others ask for clarity.

Okay and that's what you believe. Others disagree.
Blibbyblobby · 29/04/2021 23:14

Identifying as a woman. That's it.

Is Woman a gender identity then?

CorvusPurpureus · 29/04/2021 23:14

Asugarr the definition of a woman has been repeatedly explained to you.

You might prefer it to include male people, but it doesn't.

What difference does it make to your belief she she has a penis or a vagina? She still is a woman regardless.

Your notions on this are decidedly idiosyncratic, & whilst I absolutely support your right to hold & express those beliefs, yours is - globally - an extremely niche position.

yourhairiswinterfire · 29/04/2021 23:16

Identifying as a woman. That's it.

Oh Lawd. You can't define a word by using the actual word you're supposed to be defining to define it!

Yes

"Agender is a term which can be literally translated as without gender. It can be seen either as a non-binary gender identity or as a statement of not having a gender identity. People who identify as agender may describe themselves as one or more of the following:

"Genderless or lacking gender.
Gender neutral. This may be meant in the sense of being neither man or woman yet still having a gender.
Neutroisor neutrally gendered.
Having an unknown or undefinable gender; not aligning with any binary or non-binary gender.
Having no other words that fit their gender identity.
Not knowing or not caring about gender, as an internal identity and/or as an external label.
Deciding not to label their gender.
Identifying more as a person than any gender at all.

Many agender people also identify as genderqueer, non-binaryand/or transgender. However, some agender people prefer to avoid these terms, especially transgender, as they feel this implies identifying as a gender other than their assigned gender, while they in fact do not identify as any gender at all. In fact, the term agender is considered an oxymoron among many. Since it is a lack of gender, some feel that it should not be labeled as a gender at all. Others see the label agender as a declaration that they are whole without a gender.

Agender people can have any preference forpronouns, although some prefer to avoid using gendered language about themselves as much as possible. They can also present in any way -masculine,feminine,bothor something completely beyond the binary. Agender people can (but don't have to) experience gender dysphoria if they are unable to express their identity in a way they are comfortable with.

Agender people may seek many of the same hormone therapies or surgeries available to transgender and nonbinary people.

Agender people can be of any sexualityand should not be confused with being asexual.

The seven-stripe agender flag was created by Salem, aka Tumblr user transrants.
