This morning before beading off for work I was preparing tonights dinner in the slow cooker.

I asked husband to 'get it out for me' meaning the slow cooker only to turn around and see him standing with his penis poking out of his PJ's Shock

Husband thought it was hilarious, however I was somewhat shocked. For context, he has never done anything like this before and I am frankly perplexed by it. I am not without humour, but just don't think this was funny Sad Not quite sure why!

I have been pontificating in it all day, help me resolve it.......

Though in a more helpful note - maybe ask him?
Seems almost like drunk stag weekend 'humour' had he been drinking?

Could it have been a clumsy hint for sex?

chunkski · 07/04/2021 19:37

Not drinking or sex

Maybe I have lost my sense of humour 🍆

Or has he been watching porn and expected you to drop to your knees? In which case ew!

Nah. Sound odd
ChristinaYang10 · 07/04/2021 19:38

Sounds like a clumsy attempt at humour that missed the mark.
I think I’d have found it funny.. but maybe I’m just childish!

SummerHouse · 07/04/2021 19:38

My nine year old would consider this the height of humour.

I find it a little pathetic. He has clearly not read the room and I feel embarrassed for him.

Iamtooknackeredtorun · 07/04/2021 19:38

You said 'get it out'. He made a stupid and juvenile joke. It's a bit ridiculous but it probably doesn't warrant a whole day of anxiety and if you find it offensive just tell him.

Soubriquet · 07/04/2021 19:39

My dh would have done this but as a joke

I would have laughed at him or rolled my eyes but wouldn’t have given it a second thought

He wouldn’t think he was getting lucky just cos he’s whipped his dick out though

Bumblebee413 · 07/04/2021 19:39

I feel quite bad for him- this really made me giggle!! Grin

SapphosRock · 07/04/2021 19:39

I would have laughed! Obviously not if it was some random man but he is your husband and I assume you're not averse to seeing his penis.

BaggoMcoys · 07/04/2021 19:40

Sounds like something my ex would have done. Just a silly attempt at humour.

BaggoMcoys · 07/04/2021 19:41

Not anything I'd read more into or spend a day worrying about.

NerrSnerr · 07/04/2021 19:42

It's just a joke. I'd have laughed if my husband had done this (and it wouldn't have been an attempt at sex or anything like that). It'd be disturbing if it wasn't my husband but we're chilled about nudity and stuff so it's fine.

chunkski · 07/04/2021 19:43

I have not been anxious about it tbh, just thought it was oddHmm

If I were in the right mood I'd have probably grabbed hold and swung it while saying "ding a ling a ling" (like a bell).

StrangeLookingParasite · 07/04/2021 19:45

I would probably have laughed and asked him how long he'd been channelling Benny Hill.

GNCQ · 07/04/2021 19:45

Sorry it's the sort of thing my DH would do too and I'd laugh about it.

Is there anything else going on in your life to make you particularly sensitive right now?
Is it lockdown fatigue maybe?
Do you find him off-putting normally?

chunkski · 07/04/2021 19:46

He had kept me awake in the night snoring because be has a cold, perhaps this is whyAngry

IdblowJonSnow · 07/04/2021 19:48

I think it would completely depend what mood I was in as to whether I found this amusing or pathetic/childish.

Gumandbass · 07/04/2021 19:48

I would have laughed & told him to put it away before the birds got it. Mind you I do
Like a bit of cheeky humor 'while you're down there ' type of thing.

HercwasanEnemyofEducation · 07/04/2021 19:53

I'd have laughed. I suppose it depends on your humour and your relationship. If he's not done anything like this before then I expect you'd have been shocked. Has he been watching carry on films?!

DuckonaBike · 07/04/2021 19:55

I would have found it funny, though I do have a childish sense of humour. Were you just a bit too tired to appreciate his dazzling wit on this occasion?

chunkski · 07/04/2021 19:58

Out of character for him
I was tired
Bit bizarre
Clearly I am a grump Confused
