Shocked by 'd'h behaviour

This morning before beading off for work I was preparing tonights dinner in the slow cooker.

I asked husband to 'get it out for me' meaning the slow cooker only to turn around and see him standing with his penis poking out of his PJ's Shock

Husband thought it was hilarious, however I was somewhat shocked. For context, he has never done anything like this before and I am frankly perplexed by it. I am not without humour, but just don't think this was funny Sad Not quite sure why!

I have been pontificating in it all day, help me resolve it.......

@Iamtooknackeredtorun

You said 'get it out'. He made a stupid and juvenile joke. It's a bit ridiculous but it probably doesn't warrant a whole day of anxiety and if you find it offensive just tell him.
Yes I agree.

Although if he had kept you awake all night with his snoring then absolutely that would add to any annoyance of any sort the next day.

Blueskytoday06 · 07/04/2021 20:01

Soz....I think I'd have found it funny

DariaMorgendorffer · 07/04/2021 20:01

Grin I'd find it funny, but I'm very immature.

wingingit987 · 07/04/2021 20:02

This sort of thing happens a lot in my house. An inuendo is often how sec starts 🤣

ZZGirl · 07/04/2021 20:03

I'd have found it funny. My hubby does silly things like this often, we're a very "little joke" house.

GreyhoundG1rl · 07/04/2021 20:03

You sound quite odd.

MiriamMargo · 07/04/2021 20:08

I thinks its hilarious !

LemonMeringueThreePointOneFour · 07/04/2021 20:09

I have been pontificating on it all day...

Are you suggesting your husband's penis hanging out of his trousers is reminiscent of the pope waving at the vatican window?

(Or do you actually mean pondering?)

VenusTiger · 07/04/2021 20:10

You should've said "ah good, now, pass me the grater!"

Just roll your eyes if you don't find it funny OP. Give him a break, he's probably trying to lighten the mood during trying times.

KurtWilde · 07/04/2021 20:11

I would just have laughed and called him a silly sod, I don't get wound up by things like this but I appreciate some women do.

Thanks all 😊

This is sort of thing my hubby would do if he was feeling bright and chirpy.
Depending how I was feeling I would either pee myself laughing or shout at him in disgust to put it away, stop being so childish and embarrassing yourself and get on with sorting the slow cooker.

Eviethyme · 07/04/2021 20:30

I would have found it funny and rolled my eyes I think you sound like a dull person

HavelockVetinari · 07/04/2021 20:33

I would've rolled my eyes and sniggered a bit.

Maduixa · 07/04/2021 20:33

What's the relevance to feminism of this thread?

HavelockVetinari · 07/04/2021 20:34

If I'm feeling really sad DH will occasionally do 'The Helicopter' - never fails to make me laugh!

SwedishK · 07/04/2021 20:37

Ooh, I don't know how I feel. If I was in the right mood I would laugh, but if I was in a different frame of mind I'm not sure I would. It would also entirely depend on his facial expression. I obviously don't like flashers, but I guess it's different when it's your own husband. I think I would feel like you OP. I'd like to be somewhat prepared if he is going to be whipping out his penis in front of me so I'd be a bit taken aback I guess. Not angry or upset though.

StrudelSoup · 07/04/2021 20:40

@Eviethyme

I would have found it funny and rolled my eyes I think you sound like a dull person
... and you can tell this from one anecdote? I think you sound like a snarky bitch. Just from your one comment.
HadEnoughofOtherThreads · 07/04/2021 20:42

‘It would also entirely depend on his facial expression. I obviously don't like flashers, but I guess it's different when it's your own husband.’
😂

Mine sometimes does this. I usually laugh.

Cuntryhouse · 07/04/2021 20:46

You've lost your sense of humour, op! I sometimes just stand there with my boobs out whilst doing an inane task and wait for dh to notice. It's just silly, childish humour. Or actually these days it's just boredom.

Cuntryhouse · 07/04/2021 20:47

I haven't seen a helicopter in ages 😂

CirqueDeMorgue · 07/04/2021 20:53

Meh could 100% see my bf doing this and not expecting me to 'drop to my knees' or anything 🙄 it's a joke, right? Presumably you're not usually incredibly offended by your husband's penis?

SweetToffee · 07/04/2021 20:55

Sounds hilarious imo. But I have a childish sense of humour in that I find farting funny

hellywelly3 · 07/04/2021 20:56

That’s the daft stuff me and my hubby do. I always give him a quick flash of my boobs from the window as his cutting the grass! It’s keeps things light hearted and makes us feel young
