There’s another option. If reporting of posts was coordinated by an external group of like-minded individuals who all messaged each other, it would pretty easy to work out that at least two people are reporting particular posts. We know there is such a group.

Possibly but I asked the question directly first and I'm curious enough to take a punt. As far as I'm aware, co-ordinated reporting is perfectly legitimate, I'd just never seen any open discussion about it on here so I thought it was interesting.

Surely not. I think, or hope that MNHQ, consider posts on their guidelines rather than number of reports. Now we can question the application but I hope it is not based on numbers.

Having said that it can’t be because, from many threads on FWR, multiple posters report and nothing happens (and no, no chatting off thread, it’s usually very clear because posters say so on the actual thread)

I think this mode of attack / persuasion shows how they think, which is kind of teenage must be cool, must be seen to be cool, terrified of even a hint of uncool because then you'll be outed as not really cool (without realising all the other teenagers feel the same).

So they tell us hey Trump said men can't become women, are you mates with Trump? We eyeroll. They give more cases of overlap with the uncool. We say, um, so what, facts are facts no matter who says them. This non-teenager reaction is confusing to them. So they find a different uncool group to claim we are just like. And repeat.

Hi, just skimmed all 20 pages of this thread, but failed to find any evidence for the claim in the OP linking GC feminism with anti-Semitism.

As one of many Jewish GC feminists, I'd be mighty interested to see some evidence for that whopper.

I am getting really fed up with anti-Semitism being brought into discussions that have nothing whatsoever to do with Jews or Judaism, as some sort of Gotcha!

It's hardly as though anti-Semitism isn't a massive issue on its own, that people on both the left and right fail to address. Muddying the waters by inventing claims of anti-Semitism does nothing to resolve real anti-Semitism.

Moreover, suggesting some fake Venn diagram exists in which Jews, BLM and trans people all exist in one happy circle on the left and Trump, anti-Semites and conspiracy theorists co-exist with GC feminists on the right is beyond ludicrous.

It ignores the anti-Semitism espoused by many on the far left, including leaders of BLM, Corbynites, closer to home, and the repeated Holocaust minimising I see by TRAs online.

It tries that suggest that leading lifelong left-wing black lesbian feminists like Alison Bailey or Ruth Serwotka are actually on the far right.

This kind of categorisation is a joke. It's a crude and very transparent attempt to stir up hatred of GC feminists by association.

Whatever floats your boat, but the women here tend to do the opposite. Report as little as possible, and ask for quite blatant misogyny to stand, in order to provide sunlight.

I don't believe anyone one is saying or implying you're unwelcome. You are welcome to be here.

People have praised you for your engagement on this thread. I and other posters genuinely welcome your opinions. But when you deliberately misinterpret posters saying or implying something they have neither directly said or implied it becomes very frustrating.

Robust disagreement is not hate. Ideological disagreement is not hate. Challenging arguments is not hate. That is why so few people report even the most overtly provocative posts on here. If an argument is unsubstantiated it can be called out with facts; with alternative evidence; and with challenge. No need to get Big Brother to call it in.

I don't tend to report any posts except late night obvious perves and ones where I'm very worried about the OP. Other boards than FWR.

I always think it's better to let people read what's said and make their own mind up.

It's odd that me reiterating what you do, what you have said you do, you construe as 'making you unwelcome'.

I am absolutely more than happy to explain that you report posts, and I, and many women don't. Me being happy to point this out is the opposite of unwelcoming.
