Sisters uncut who are said to be a driving force in turning last nights gathering from a vigil to a protest are now protesting on behalf of “women murdered by the state”.

Two of these “women” are rapists who brutalised children.

How can anyone be ok with this?

RTS have implied that they won't give any of the donated money to organisations that are exclusively for females. They are yet to confirm definitively so far as I know.

Why on earth is this SU insanity not front page news? Papers usually love a story about outrageous lunatics.

Perhaps because the MSM actually has a bit more respect for women than SU does?

This mentions the 'controversy' part (and also I see notes SU's non-inclusivity of transmen)

They got quite aggressive with people querying this and people asking what exactly they had planned. Insults and blocking (and doxing threats) flying around (plus some serious deleting of offensive tweets)

Nimco Ali, the government’s adviser on combating violence against women and girls, said that it is a “watershed moment” for No 10. “I would want to see things like sexual harassment on the street being banned. I want to see better education. And I really want to understand that we have a social contract that has been broken,”

Well maybe, and this is just a hunch, the government could start with not allowing rapists access to incarcerated women as part of their sentence.

Honestly, why don't their heads explode with the deafening mindfuckery.

It's completely ludicrous. All concerned about women's physical and psychological safety but perfectly happy to trap them in cells or on hospital wards with the sex class who are most likely to cause them harm. Gaslighting mendacious idiots. My eyes have done so much rolling this week.

In fairness Datun Nimco Ali is gender critical. I think that she is a good advocate for women and girls but I think for the government this is not a priority at all so I don’t know how much they listen to her.

Yes, and i'm not blaming Nimco.

It's the desperate hang wringing, which is across-the-board, at the same time as allowing the worst violations of women's rights.

The government are giving £45m to combat violence against women and girls, whilst allowing rapists to assault them in prison.

I believe the head explosion is happening in Whitehall right now. The cognitive dissonance is dropping away.

The emperor's lack of clothes can no longer be brushed off with an embarrassed shuffle and mutterings about nudism being acceptable in many parts of Germany.

The nobles are noticing the growing public unrest at their mumblings about the emperor's lovely robes and denial of his hairy arse being on show.

More and more people talk about how the emperor keeps flashing them while smirking. It makes the nobles look like fools. The noble class can't survive if enough people think them fools.

"Will it work in Wigan?" is still a relevant political question.

Isn't she reported to be Boris Johnson and Carrie Symonds' son's Godmother? Certainly a very good friend of CS.

happydappy2 · 16/03/2021 12:28

There is such a clear conflict of rights if men can gain legal recognition as women....the GRA must be repealed, no more GRCs issued.
Males cannot magically turn into women, it’s not possible.

It’s clear to everyone that this ideology is harming young girls, massively more than young boys. Girls get their breasts removed, acquire male pattern baldness & facial hair, with a deeper voice for life. Boys get to win in the girls races & are celebrated for being brave.....

This ideology harms children and women, we know it, they know it, the people in power have been told-only they have the power to get males out of women’s prisons and stop the creep of queer theory in the classroom.

It’s blatantly clear what SU motives are, they don’t speak for women at all.

Yes she is!

I heard her speak at this ResPublica event and she takes no prisoners. She was absolutely straightforward about black feminism, and specific issues such as FGM - she's been called exclusionary & transphobic, and she pretty much laughs in their faces. A great woman & a leader, even at her young age!

RtS decending into factions.
Didn't take long did it.
The usual if you dont agree with everything I believe and repeat the correct mantras you're making me unsafe and dont think I'm human.
So maddening.
Suppose it was inevitable really.

toffeebutterpopcorn · 16/03/2021 14:46

Charities, movements, political parties... all need a clear figurehead and a very clear raison d'être.

'One singer one song' as my dad used to say. The message and original goal just gets lost when so many people are just shouting at each other and trying to direct the activity.

toffeebutterpopcorn · 16/03/2021 14:47

Reading that Facebook page made me think of Private Eye when they do the funny social media discussions.

Transwomen have been at thw forefront of every feminist movement, have they? Hmm

Do these people really believe that?

Kit19 · 16/03/2021 15:38

Honestly Sunset I think they do

I mean they cant name any of these TW of course but they were most definitely there

It would be funny if it wasnt so fucking disrespectful

toffeebutterpopcorn · 16/03/2021 15:44

Didn’t Harry Enfield do a sketch where the characters hook was ‘X? We invented that!’ In response to everything (electricity, cars, giraffes....)

Clymene · 16/03/2021 15:49

Do they really think that women who want single sex spaces would exclude sex workers? Confused

Surely no one is that stupid? Or do they just chant TRF and SWRF without really thinking about it?

SunsetBeetch · 16/03/2021 15:49

So as well as including 7 biological males who were either muderers, paedophiles or rapists, Sisters Uncut's list of "women murdered by the state" includes:

Michelle Pearce, serving life for murdering her mother who died of cancer

www.getsurrey.co.uk/news/local-news/murder-prisoner-terminal-illnesses-inquest-4822541.amp?__twitter_impression=true

Magdalena Luczak, the mother of Daniel Pelka, whom she starved, tortured and beat to death. Who committed suicide.

www.google.com/amp/s/www.coventrytelegraph.net/news/coventry-news/daniel-pelka-mum-suicide-prison-9659813.amp

Fucking. Hell.

NecessaryScene1 · 16/03/2021 15:50

Actually, new research from the Super community has concluded it was the Supers at the forefront of all feminist and SLGBT movements.

A Super handed Marsha P Johnson the first brick at Stonewall.

. There's no real evidence for it, but it is historical fact.
SunsetBeetch · 16/03/2021 15:51

Sorry that wasn't clear due to typos. Michelle Pearce was serving life for murdering her mother, and died of cancer while in prison.

JosieJarker · 16/03/2021 16:12

From what I can gather, any discussion about sex work and how women as commodities is bad for all women, power structures, what choice really means in a patriarchy, is swerfy talk.
Even if you're an exited woman.
Anything less than 'sex work is work' is exclusionary and harmful to sex workers.
There's a new thread where someone has recommended Dr Jess Taylor's work and its been jumped on by people shouting terf.
How are we supposed to get anything done or change things like this?
Have to say I feel sorry for the mods.

Livinginthecity · 16/03/2021 18:22

Sisters Uncut and others of their ilk can only cause violent street demonstrations and disruption because the UK electorate when it comes to electing Governments will vote Tory rather than these crackpots and their fellow travellers in the Labour Party. So that's it. A Tory Government in perpetuity.

WanderinWomb · 16/03/2021 20:01
  • Why are they shouting speeches at a peaceful vigil? Leaves a bad taste in my mouth to be honest

We know why, it's because half the nation's press was there with their cameras.
As some of our new friends on the vigil thread were saying -the leaders of the vigil were there giving speeches.
Who decided themselves leaders ?

What is very worrying, I'll phrase this vaguely and carefully, there is a lot more that I can't repeat publicly, is the obsession with talking about police brutality and state violence at every speech, demo and interview. That is not what will help ensure a fair trial considering the employment of the accused.
Several groups decided the vigil was theirs to take over and they don't seem to care that the investigation go smoothly.

I also have a very nasty taste in my mouth.

FloraFox · 16/03/2021 20:51

I've posted this on the Reclaim These Streets thread:

This group has raised more than half a million pounds on their JustGiving website. According to the website, you can only raise funds for one specified registered charity per page or for local or personal causes. They haven't specified which charities they will give the money to but have indicated on twitter that it will likely include Sisters Uncut who are using the response to Sara's death to campaign for rapists and murderers of women.

You can complain about the fundraising generally using this link (which isn't so easy to find on the webpage). I think most of the donors would be surprised to learn their donations might find their way into the pockets of people campaigning for rapists and murderers.
