I should have added the link to back up that previous quote.

Archived version of the Times article. Headline It feels like conversion therapy for gay children, say clinicians
Ex-NHS staff fear that homophobia is driving a surge in ‘transgender’ young people

From 2019 and here we are still Angry

They are still actively advertising their services to under 16s!!

Today’s tweet. Puberty blockers, hormones - whatever. Just unbelievable!!

The NSH? Don't they bother to proof-read their tweets before they post them? I suppose it's a metaphor for the quality and care the rest of GenderGP's work shows.

I'm surprised they call providing drugs with no safeguards, evidence base, assessments or meaningful consent healthcare. It seems to me more like dealing or pushing.

Shahrar Ali proposing an emergency motion at the Green Party to debar GenderGP from operating in the UK.

I'm not sure how that works practically but interesting that there are some in the Green Party prepared to protect children.

I must admit, I'm very surprised to see any attempt to safeguard children or to risk the wrath of TRAs coming from the greens. Pleased but surprised.

Just coming to post this too. I wonder though what impact this might have considering the new women’s co-chair is an advisor or counselor, for the company. Will that person have the influence to shut down the meeting.

Cwenthryth · 05/03/2021 08:00

That’s mildly interesting in terms of internal Green Party politics but sadly completely irrelevant in terms of real world practicality! They’re calling on the CQC to ‘debar’ them - is that even a thing that the CQC can do? They’re now an international outfit.

ArabellaScott · 05/03/2021 08:16

Shahrar Ali is great, and gc. He stood for leader or co-convenor or whatever, but didn't get in, unfortunately.

ArabellaScott · 05/03/2021 08:16

Could their internet provider not be blocked or something?

PronounssheRa · 05/03/2021 08:17

Shahrar Ali has been a sensible voice on this issue for a while now, a bit of a lone voice though.

It sickens me what some people will do for money. It reminds me of war profiteering.

AfternoonToffee · 05/03/2021 08:26

Oh look GenderGP here to save the day, from the meanie NHS.

Interesting use of the word "people", not young people or children which is who/what they are. It is just using fluffy language as the correct language is too much of a stark reality.

Gurufloof · 05/03/2021 08:29

Money. Honestly I think that’s all it is. Money and adulation and woke cookies
It's just money, I've been slowly searching for what else shes into and have found links to bodybuilding and tentative links to end of life drugs, opiates and some other stuff that I cannot yet be sure of. It's the money involved in providing the prescription that she wants.

Horrifying. If I wasn’t born in the 1970s, I would have been one of these children buying this poison online

Had the internet been a thing back when I was a child, I would definitely have been all over this. I was such a tomboy, and earnestly thought I must be a boy in those puberty years. And it wasnt a phase.

PurpleHoodie · 05/03/2021 08:29

It’s been mentioned to Andrew on twitter the fact the Webberley’s had their medical licences suspended by the GMC hence the move overseas. He didn’t know!

More sunlight

Good. I hope the Webberley's end up in jail.

Money grabbing dealers.

ArabellaScott · 05/03/2021 08:35

Agree, Purple. I find it staggering that this is operating in plain sight.

I have seen the term "vulture capitalism" used which I think describes it quite well.

It's so manipulative isn't it? No one is excluding trans people from rights and services, trying to ensure that services they access are safe, open and honest is completely different, why do the trans supporters not want this? I honestly don't understand it, any other area of medicine that operated like this and everyone would be calling them out especially when prescribing controlled drugs, but come to trans health and it seems anything goes. Surely anyone who was genuinely concerned about trans health would want to ensure that the care they received was absolutely safe and efficient.

I honestly don't understand it - well I do a bit, certain non-trans people have repeatedly told those struggling with their gender identity that they will commit suicide, everyone hates them, and they are the most oppressed in the history of the world whilst also promising the magic pill that will save them - at great cost. Their saviour is also their oppressor.

Demand care that is the right care, not emotive manipulation like this.

"Sian Berry's attempt to rewrite history"
March 4 2021

Sian Berry, the Green Party’s co-leader is due to give a speech at 2pm tomorrow.

Any journalist covering the Green Party should go on Twitter and use the search term “@londondeletes sian berry aimee challenor”. You will be taken to a page that reveals in full Berry’s attempts to erase history about this very disturbed individual whose influence touched Stonewall, The Lib Dems, The Greens and now Reddit.

The tweets were deleted after the exposure of risk but before the internal Veritas investigation.

One question journalists might want to ask—will the Greens finally apologise to Andy Healy after suspending him for trying to warn them about Challenor?

Does any knowledgable pharmacist or legal person know what the relevant legislation is that is permitting doctors not licensed in the UK getting a prescription filled in the UK? We need to get that loophole closed

PurpleHoodie · 06/03/2021 09:02

Excellent question Raiders.

The Webberley's are taking direct payments.

Perhaps it's a question we could all write to our MPs/MSPs about.

everythingthelighttouches · 06/03/2021 09:04

Do the MHRA know about this???

PurpleHoodie · 06/03/2021 09:07

Who are the MHRA everythjng?

everythingthelighttouches · 06/03/2021 09:17

They’re the medicines and healthcare regulations agency.
They are responsible for regulating drug in the U.K.

But I am just reading that many online pharmacists and gps outside of the U.K. are not registered or regulated by the MHRA.

So it looks like that is the wrong place to search for oversight.

I’m wondering if/why there isn’t a law making it illegal to purchase and sell to minors??

everythingthelighttouches · 06/03/2021 09:22

I’m just trying to work out where is the appropriate legal or regulatory framework. If it’s EU based, they should be registered with EU equivalent which is the EMA. And I’m wondering what the terms of that registration are.

But also there should be some protection for UK citizens from within UK??

Would it be legal for a company to sell harmful prescription drugs of another kind to a child online?? What if a child told an online go they had chronic pain? Would it be legal for that company to sell the child opiates?
