Having looked through the tweets, I think now that he just didn't have a clue, shouted about Nazis without even looking, and then was completely taken aback when people started talking about feminists.
I think the reference to "online hate" in the tweet above at Sarah was about "hate" addressed at him, not at trans people - he meant the feminists who were telling him he was talking shite.
He was obviously upset by it, but instead of saying "oh, I realise there is something here I didn't understand, sorry for saying something so dumb" he instead started lashing out and saying that he was being bullied.
It's possible he's drunk. I don't think that he's a TRA spitting bile, just a bloke who doesn't like to admit he made a mistake, which I do find easier to forgive. But he is making a tit of himself.
