I had a letter from the NHS the other day inviting me for screening. The wording in that and the booklet enclosed is more sensible.

The letter says we invite women aged 25 - 64

The booklet says Cervical screening is for women and people with a cervix

Then further down the page If you are a transgender (trans) man registered with your GP as female we will send you invitations for screening.

(although the implication here that some might not be registered as female is slightly worrying)

Later on in the booklet it refers to women who get pregnant.

Seems they are more measured with newspeak on paper than social media.

Why the fuck would I would I message my friends to tell them what my pubic hair looks like?

Why would that remind them to get a smear test and not make them think 'Hmm, Bunting is a bit over familiar, I might block her number...'?
