It's about time the gov took action on banning marriage under 18. This has been called for since about 2012.

Saudi Arabia and others use Islam to control dissent, a lot of the behaviour there is unislamic. India has a terrible record on women’s rights the treatment of girls and women - India has an Islamic minority.
Men from certain countries and cultures behave this way and yes, a lot of them ARE Muslim (although their behaviour isn’t sanctioned under Islam) but they do it despite their faith, not because of it.
The Police here in Kirklees are happy to arrest Muslim and non Muslim Asian men for a variety of offences so I don’t see why they would avoid doing so for child sex offences, I really do think it’s more about their attitude to the girls involved

Interview with Karma Nirvana founder, Jasvinder Sanghera.

She said: “There is the issue in this country whereby some professionals are still dealing with this as being ‘cultural’, and they look the other way. There is the fear of being called racist.

“I remember one call we received at Karma Nirvana from a police officer. He told our call handler, ‘I’m with this man from a minority community and he’s telling me he’s in a full-blown relationship with a 13 or 14-year-old girl, and that it’s part of his culture, so I just want to check if that was okay’.

“The handler had to tell this officer, ‘can we put aside all the cultural issues that you think are justifying this and look at the raft of possible offences?’

“The officer said, ‘oh if you put it like that, then’, and hung up."
