@Kit19

I got a ban after someone went back though my old posts and reported them so having just got back, I have to be careful now....
Hi Kit 👋
littlbrowndog · 08/12/2020 15:54

Hi kit

Good to see you back. 🍾

ArabellaScott · 08/12/2020 18:36

Glad to see you back, Kit.

Wrongsideofhistorymyarse · 09/12/2020 13:15

Welcome back Kit.

CatsCantCatchCriminals2 · 09/12/2020 14:17

Cockfosters to St John's Wood, obviously (using the Mackerel protocol).

CaraDuneRedux · 09/12/2020 15:48

The Mackerel protocol? During Advent? Hmm

[Mutters darkly about the yoof of today]

Crystal Palace.

Damnit, that's Kensington blocked....

No option left but Camden Town.

highame · 09/12/2020 17:45

Mornington Crescent

highame · 09/12/2020 17:49

Sorry, my mistake, had forgotten the Mackerel protocol. Euston to Warren Street

PotholeParadies · 09/12/2020 19:15

Nice reversal. In that case as it's a Wednesday in Advent, I'll go for the Barbican.

CaraDuneRedux · 09/12/2020 19:36

Barbican. Classy.

Hmmm.

No, it's late and I'm tired. Machiavellian manoeuvres elude me. I'm going to have to go for the obvious.

South Kensington.

Leaving the straddle for the picking. Oval.

MichelleofzeResistance · 09/12/2020 19:59

I am sorry but I have to challenge that move, Asking

You have come at it from behind without a recognised googly station, which makes it silly mid off.

AskingQuestionsAllTheTime · 09/12/2020 20:09

But Michelle, it's a Wednesday in Advent: Carruthers (1937) is clear that the straddle is legitimate.

ArabellaScott · 09/12/2020 20:10

I will second the challenge, it seems a bit unfair to saddle latecomers with the straddle, especially when they won't know to sit sideways or forwards or what to do with the ballast.

I believe that brings us back to Marlyebone, though I might be losing my touch!

AskingQuestionsAllTheTime · 09/12/2020 20:45

In that case I shall play dirty. Stringfellow's Rules, and Cockfosters to you all!

ArabellaScott · 09/12/2020 21:52
Shock
Wrongsideofhistorymyarse · 11/12/2020 08:31

That’s a bit rubbish especially as the restrictions on what we’re allowed to say has ‘evolved’. How far back were they allowed to successfully report ?
Kit19 · 11/12/2020 09:03

thanks everyone :))))

It was for a post I made back in April Still

as has been said before, I dont know why complaints about old posts/threads are allowed

CatsCantCatchCriminals2 · 11/12/2020 09:19

Kit - how did you find out? Did you get an email off MN?

Do you know if it counts as a strike?

I agree that it's a bit rum reporting old threads.

HecatesCatsInXmasHats · 11/12/2020 10:35

Frustrating Kit. A time limit on reports would make sense.

ErrolTheDragon · 11/12/2020 11:29

I believe MNHQ do make a distinction between reports on historical posts before and after the extra guidelines were introduced. Imo that's not too unfair - whether a post is reported at the time is somewhat a matter of luck.

I hope they keep track of who makes reports on old posts though. It seems like it would generally be people who aren't operating 'in the spirit' of MN. Even moreso with resuscitators of zombie threads - they quite often are shown the door though unfortunately not always before they've trashed a thread.

AskingQuestionsAllTheTime · 11/12/2020 13:09

I think MNHQ has made a statement to the effect "old posts shouldn't count for a strike", but I can't now find it.
