me too!

I am not sure what unsettled me the most. The possibility that someone might use a made up rare health condition as a way to derail or emotionally blackmail the FWR board or the possibility that a worried mum might seek medical advice from anonymous feminists on the internet instead of from a paediatrician. Both scenarios are just so troubling. If is was real, I hope the doctors are able to advise.

EdgeOfACoin · 04/12/2020 08:05

It was an odd one. I can see why some people thought it was fake (esp repeated misspelling of key word) but there was enough details in it to make me think it could be genuine.

YOU are a nicer person from me - a couple of months on the boards and my cynicism is renewed!
ArabellaScott · 04/12/2020 09:44

I can't imagine that if I had a child with such a rare condition requiring complex and expert treatment I would run to FWR in the first instance to ask questions. You'd just phone your doc, surely?

CaraDuneRedux · 04/12/2020 10:28

It was a tad suspicious.

It was a puzzler. I hope if it was genuine the child gets the clinical support they need.

InterfectoremVulpes · 05/12/2020 18:34

Its Saturday night, usually when the derailers and goaders turn up. Would be nice to not give them the satisfaction of having posts/threads/posters removed Smile

InterfectoremVulpes · 05/12/2020 19:26

And so it begins...

Should just be ignored...

Hard to do i know 😀

InterfectoremVulpes · 05/12/2020 19:48

I learnt the hard way 😭

DeaconBoo · 05/12/2020 19:55

Dear lord, is it the midnight guy?

InterfectoremVulpes · 05/12/2020 20:10

Pretty sure its not 😊

Wrongsideofhistorymyarse · 06/12/2020 19:53

Apparently the flouncer is a woman. Who knew?

Not them apparently
PotholeParadies · 06/12/2020 21:23

I'm doing really well at sitting on my hands.

Wrongsideofhistorymyarse · 07/12/2020 07:54

So we're now not allowed to comment on how the police force uses inappropriate imagery? K.

PotholeParadies · 07/12/2020 08:09

I thought that one stayed fully away from personal attacks.

None in particular?

Or just secret ones

Posting on FWR is exactly like playing a card game called bedlam

Exactly!! I shit you not

Interesting deletion message. IIRC, the OO was a screen grab of WMP'own Twitter feed, so not merely in the public domain, but an official source with the purpose of portraying to the general public how they as a police force wanted their key values to be seen. Now some OPs do (quite rightly, given MN's terms and conditions) get deleted solely for the link - eg BNP, antivax conspiracy nuts, libellous comments. But surely MNHQ are not putting WMP's official Twitter feed into that sort of category.

So it must be OP's comment on the image. But all OP had added to this was "posted without comment."

Confused

Must look that up. It always seems to me like an endless game of Mornington Crescent.

I'll guess that the discussion of public interest around information in the public domain has been zapped (again) because of it being classed TAAT. But the posts this morning on the third one confirm it's causing high anxiety amongst the tedious who think deleting discussion means it never happened and the situation has been successfully hidden away, and I have no doubt this one will go too.

So I'll play the Southern Arroward Drive from the Reubenstein solution and take a third through Green Park to Elephant and Castle.

MichelleofzeResistance · 07/12/2020 10:26

Much repeating of 'nothing to see here - I told you there was nothing to see here'.

Was it Rowan Atkinson who used to do that sketch about the French government scolding the English about "You keep eating prawn cocktail crisps although we have told you not to!"

Elephant and Castle before noon... A bold move. Given its proximity the Oval I'm a tad anxious about being caught LBW, but I'm really anxious to avoid ending up at Goldsmiths, so I'll risk playing off the back foot just this once... Charing Cross.
