The escaping threads make me happy. There are lots of posters who never come to this section posting in support of GC.

You are not wrong wrong! And every time I see posters in the escapee threads, they are up to date on the current situation.

I find it amusing that those calling women hateful cannot see that the tide is well and truly turning away from 'women be kind'. They cannot see that it isn't working anymore. Women are getting 'educated' and making their decisions and it is not quite as expected, I think.

It makes me feel a bit more positive.

Yes, I do think there is a groundswell of popular opinion that understands the issues very well, now, and is very much NOT on board with most of the genderagenda. Unfortunately politicians don't seem to be quite as well informed as the average person ....

In other clothing-related thread news, is anyone else enjoying the DD present of a T-shirt thread in AIBU? I've had a nice long read and the anti-GC posts are really striking: if someone's views aren't pro-gender identity ideology, you can judge that person as harshly as you want without knowing what they think, while someone who says they are pro, needs to be supported 100% whatever they think.

As ever, the point of an ideology is to give someone a fully-formed set of unquestionable views that means they never have to think for themselves.

I think most people haven’t thought through the issues. They just think that trans women are hugely dysphoric people who had an operation and no longer have male genitalia. They want to be kind and this seems like a no brainier. Add to that all the misrepresented statistics about the risk of trans women involved in sex work in Brazil which is argued to be the risk of trans women in the UK.

The more sunlight this gets, the more they open their eyes to what really is going on. That is why these discussions are so important. As is the correct language.
