For donating to Sarah Phillimore's crowdfunder 🙄

twitter.com/joannaccherry/status/1332668158516342784

An open letter, signed by MP's, was circulating calling for an investigation into some MP's ''transphobia''. Lots of dragging Joanna Cherry through the mud ensued. Donating to Sarah Phillimore's crowdfunder is allegedly an MP ''funding hate'' and needs investigating, along with Christopher McEleny for pointing out that there were no transphobic murders in Scotland. That apparently undermines trans day of remembrance...I'd say the fact that there were 0 transphobic murders in Scotland is the thing that undermines that, but what do I know?🤷‍♀️

Some people who signed the letter shat themselves afterwards and asked for the bullshit parts to be removed from it after they'd already bloody signed it. The original letter has now been edited. Not because it was bollocks though, oh no, but because this is a 'common tactic' of those that oppose trans people. (Nah mates, it's people waking up and getting sick of your lies and propaganda).

Sarah has written a letter to the Scottish Green Party, the Scottish Liberal Democrats and the SNP asking for an urgent investigation and reply, being as members of the SNP signed the letter, and she is now receiving the usual sexual threats and threats of violence as a result, from the right side of history brigade.

Here's Sarah's letter which explains it all better than me.

I'm so sick of these toxic, controlling brats.

I think this is going to have much more prominence in the forthcoming elections than many of the politicians would like.

Maduixa · 28/11/2020 23:51

I think I’m missing something, but the doc I can see via twiitter (mobile.twitter.com/AllParty_Trans/status/1332743131247341568?s=20) doesn’t have any MP signatures. It has one MSP who is well known as a misogynist and another who was once very well regarded cross-party in Scotland but last year discredited himself as a coward over an incident of VAWG at Edinburgh University. I’m not impressed by this letter - apart from those two MSPs, every name on there that I recognize is someone I know ONLY for his history of harassing and threatening women.

Also, isn’t “Amy Dyess” the American woman who was kadging donations two years ago to take her first ever trip to the UK to save the natives from themselves- but then went bonkers shrieking about how lesbians in the UK run wild rapiing women because the laws differentiate between rape and sexual assault - even though the laws in most US states go even further, at the behest if the UN to use the term sexual assault rather than rape? And then helpfully Informed us all via Pink Eews that an all powerful cabal of lesbians run the world?

It seems very odd that she’s now a rape apologist. It seems even odder that she’s now Scottish.

DidoLamenting · 29/11/2020 00:10

Amy Dyess - yes she is who you say she is. Goodness only knows why she thinks anyone would be interested in her opinion in this.

Amy is now a he/them, in an unsurprising development. But yeah...who cares?
PearPickingPorky · 29/11/2020 09:38

Amy Dyess who also wanted to run for the Presidency?

Then came out as a maybe-transman? Or was it non-binary, can't remember. I just remember them being very upset that nobody cared, even the TRAs, so Amy complained poutedly that nobody was talking about Amy's Very Big News.

SunsetBeetch · 29/11/2020 09:44

I know this word gets over- and wrongly-used a lot these days: but I think Amy os a bit of a grifter. Possibly unwell too.

Tootsweets23 · 29/11/2020 09:57

The two halves of the SNP tearing each other apart. Imagine what the Scottish political scene would be like post independence once that single issue stops binding such different factions together. Will be a bloodbath on this and so many other issues.

SunsetBeetch · 29/11/2020 11:38

Every party who has not put these TRAs and woke witch hunters in check has suffered for it: Labour, Lib Dems, The Greens. Now The SNP.

Well, I thought hell would freeze over before I ever saw Wings Over Scotland as the voice of reasoned common sense.

Same here. I think, as vehemently as I disagree with their indy stance, WOS actually just care deeply for this country and don't want to see it destroyed from within, which is exactly what's happening. It makes me sad that this once wonderful country is such a mess and I struggle to see a way out.

Plot seems to be thickening on this according to forewomen

Oh sorry do you need a reminder of how badly all those parties did at the last election? How many women now see themselves as politically homeless? The MPs who have made absolute prats of themselves when asked about trans issues? The resignations? The Challenor debacle? The bullying of MPs for wrongthink?
RedtreesRedtrees · 29/11/2020 21:41

Sunset I’m sure they can find a political home amongst the fringe right wing parties where their bigoted views belong.

Which views exactly are “bigoted”.

Are you going to expand on this, or are you another who just chucks around 'bigoted' and 'hateful' without backing it up at all?

Yaaaaaaawwwwwnnnnn!

I often see bigot slung around as a means to shut women up. I have come to the conclusion that the people who like to use it don't actually understand it's meaning because they don't see the irony of themselves using it.

Just an observation.

RedtreesRedtrees · 29/11/2020 22:02

We could argue about the bigot thing but I just can’t be bothered. The point is that you do have a political home amongst the fringe parties where you belong.

littlbrowndog · 29/11/2020 22:06

Bigot bigot bigot

So easy to sling around

Yet so hard to actually explain

I hope you are not saying Joanna cherry is a bigot

littlbrowndog · 29/11/2020 22:10

Say what ?

Not clear what you are saying here ?

MaudTheInvincible · 29/11/2020 22:16

I think they're saying they're a raging gynophobic misogynist who can't bear it that women are standing up against the assault on their legal rights. That's certainly what it looks like anyway.

Is this a thing like the GC are funded by the right wing evangelical core or something like that? Why do you not get that it is a grassroots movement. I suppose it's easier to
Ignore facts and repeat lies.

However. I would probably vote for Lord Buckethead if he were to stand in my area. Does that count as fringe?
