Now I'm no legal genius but surely naming someone publicly in such a defamatory way that can easily be shown to be untrue is a classic case of libel. Mermaids got £43k from Children in Need and will be getting £100k a year for the next five years from the National Lottery. Wonder what they will with that money? Promote the idea that children urgently need unregulated hormone-suppressing drugs just because they don't fit sex stereotypes? It's dangerous to children to have that group funded to go round promoting their message. Wish Fair Play For Women had a bit of that. It's shocking that Mermaids and others actively oppose proper research into the effects of different treatment regimes. Which genuine interest group has ever said, no, don't do research! Agreed. MM in similar position to SG, I believe, hence how much she has invested in this. Having accepted medical advice that your child should be given these drugs, and seeing what they've gone through, of course you don't want to contemplate the possibility that it could all have been a mistake.

Unbelievable! She's still going on about FPFW on her Twitter page now Oh the irony of exuding so much hate by insisting that all these GC 'cults' are terrible and intolerant.
Thankfully it seems her messages have helped to shed more sunlight. It's interesting to note that many who learn about issues can easily see through the the constant accusations of transphobia and work out for themselves the actual truth. So yes, if you're monitoring as we know you love to do Helen, thanks for your sterling work!

What possible justification can you have for saying that Mermaids and Stonewall need to pay staff, but no-one else can.

Maybe they just can't stand seeing all the support that Nic gets. Because whatever it is, saying we can get paid, but you can't, is just odd.
