Great article about the Mridul Wadhwa.

OP posts:

that is a great opening sentence

ArabellaScott · 18/10/2020 20:31

Crikey, Wings sounds like a proper viper.

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 18/10/2020 20:34

@ArabellaScott

Crikey, Wings sounds like a proper viper.
It's a tossup between him and MN with regards to who brought the potential issues to my attention.
ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 18/10/2020 20:37

Also, I'm waiting with interest to see if this thread is deleted. Last time I posted an OP with a link to Wings (and the OP was just about what was in the Wings piece) it was deleted as "not in the spirit".

ArabellaScott · 18/10/2020 20:41

Deleted for linking to an article not in the spirit? Hmm.

Wings can be acerbic and abrasive, yes, but as far as I'm aware the information on there is cogent, referenced and accurate.

NecessaryScene1 · 18/10/2020 21:12

That's the sort of thing that's the biggest target for deletion/removal. (He's already banned from Twitter, of course).

You can be as acerbic and abrasive as you like, as long as you're not telling inconvenient truths, and causing problems for those with the power to silence you.

(cf nearby thread about Posie Parker being banned)

ArabellaScott · 18/10/2020 21:37

Oh, aye. Rock the boat all you like, so long as you stay on land.

aliasundercover · 18/10/2020 21:51

That opening! Just in case anybody cannot access it:

The battle to save the soul of the SNP – formerly a party of Scottish independence but now a career vehicle for intolerant science-denying cultists solely interested in social engineering – is already almost lost.

PearPickingPorky · 18/10/2020 22:14

Well, I must say, that was all very interesting.

Sarah Stuart(?) on twitter has also done a very long & very interesting thread on this particular topic following a webinar she attended where the person droned on and on and on about themselves.

Babdoc · 18/10/2020 22:21

Ho ho, trouble in paradise, eh? Fabulous to see the SNP tearing itself apart. Couldn’t happen to a nicer bunch... Grin
Let’s hope their civil war distracts them from trying to tear our country apart, while simultaneously destroying education, the economy and the health service and inflicting nonsensical laws like named person and the hate crime bill.

NRatched · 19/10/2020 00:51

Deleted for linking to an article not in the spirit? Hmm.

There used to be deletions for linking to articles that misgendered anyone. Infact, not even the article, is misgendering was found on the whole site, it could lead to deletions for posting anything from the site (remember this happening a year or so back and there was hell on). At one stage. I assume such ridiculous rules no longer exist. Or hope not.

NRatched · 19/10/2020 00:58

Also, another male abusing women only shortlists. Whilst claiming noone would ever abuse self ID. Great Hmm

TheQuietWoman · 19/10/2020 08:23

The comments were very heartening, particularly about the male fraudster stealing a place as manager of a rape crisis centre that he had absolutely no business to ever be in. Not many people support this utter nonsense from the SNP.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 19/10/2020 08:34

I have no words. I often see people in other parts of the UK wishing we could have Nicola Sturgeon running the country and then I remember things like this. We're between a rock and a hard place at the moment.

Babdoc · 19/10/2020 08:52

GaspOde, the rest of the country are welcome to her, as long as we never have to see her again up here in Scotland!

IDanielRadcliffe · 19/10/2020 10:03

I did enjoy the reference to the Twitler Youth in the comments.

Antibles · 19/10/2020 11:29

Much needed sunlight there.

What interesting job choice for a male bodied person who identifies as she/her: manager of a rape crisis centre Hmm

I cannot imagine my reaction to that were I to access their services.

fatblackcatspaw · 19/10/2020 12:02

It was also very interesting seeing the untouched up photos of M too

Alicethroughtheblackmirror · 19/10/2020 12:18

I wonder if Mridul never changed their name? The article points out that it's a male name in India. In light of the legal challenge the FWS are bringing on the Public Boards act, Mridul would fail one of the definitions of woman: "using a female name on official documents such as a driving licence or passport, or on utility bills or bank accounts"!

TheQuietWoman · 19/10/2020 12:21

I think one of the comments suggested it was also a female name. He is absolutely ghastly. Taking a position meant for a woman at a rape crisis centre ffs. No decency at all.

Alicethroughtheblackmirror · 19/10/2020 12:25

Thank you,

It does rather raise the issue of who is going to make a judgement about which names qualify and how non-European names will be assessed.

And yes, I cannot believe that entitlement. Lying to get a job working with vulnerable women!

Alicethroughtheblackmirror · 19/10/2020 12:36

I'm puzzling over Mridul's GRC status. MW has claimed on several occasions that they can't get one due to being born in India. Yet, as I understand it, a GRC could still be issued here.

Also, I believe it is possible to apply for a certificate in India but you have to provide proof of surgery. Does this mean MW hasn't had SRS? If so, it's even more disturbing they are in a rape crisis centre.

Does anyone have any further knowledge on Indian position?

This with bells on.
fatblackcatspaw · 19/10/2020 13:40

I find it hard to see how M got appointed to the job as they look frankly like a man in a sari to me.

AvocadoBathroom · 20/10/2020 02:13

Should I not have posted it?
I can ask admin to delete it?
