around the guidance for the Equality Act 2010, and is crowdfunding for a judicial review. Thought I ought to spread the word.

I've always liked gardening. Good for the soul.

McDuffy · 26/08/2020 20:33

I've dug and I shall dig again on 1 September when my new budget month begins Grin

DialSquare · 26/08/2020 20:39

The be also dug (without the tip). I can't do as much as some of these wonderful women who are fighting on the front line but I can do my bit by donating where I can.

DialSquare · 26/08/2020 20:39

FFS!
I've also dug!

SunshineThelma · 26/08/2020 20:54

Digging away here too, planting in the hope of later Daffodil Daffodil Daffodil

HarmonicAnalysis · 26/08/2020 22:05

So glad to see this. Have also dug (minus CJ tip).

littlbrowndog · 26/08/2020 22:11

I can’t donate. Am skint

But if my heart and soul counts. Am donatin* that

ThePangolinsRevenge · 26/08/2020 22:19

I’m so glad to know about this. It looks like a really interesting case- particularly the issue of whether EHRC has breached its duty to foster good relationships between people with protected characteristics.

Voice0fReason · 26/08/2020 22:39

This looks brilliant, it's exactly what is needed.

StandUpStraight · 26/08/2020 22:59

Wow, it’s over £8k already.

Datun · 26/08/2020 23:03

She's raising £1000 an hour.

persistentwoman · 26/08/2020 23:05

Have dug and very pleased to see the response. I also note that, just like so many other of the current projects, there are significant numbers of men contributing. This scandal is of epic proportions and the population are starting to recognise it and taking action to support all these legal challenges.

334bu · 27/08/2020 07:52

Important so bump!

MoltenLasagne · 27/08/2020 08:14

It always amazes me how quickly these gardens grow. TRAs tell us that no-one cares about single sex spaces, but this garden has been open less than 24 hours and it's nearly half way.

Mollscroll · 27/08/2020 08:30

Ha. Go Ann Smile

Namechangetoavoidmra · 27/08/2020 08:32

@MilleniumHallsWalledGarden it’s great to see her almost half way already, thank you so much for highlighting. But do you think it might be good to repost about this using a subject thread that doesn’t rely on readers knowing who Ann is? Just thinking there are many others on here who would dig in but might have missed this thread

DialSquare · 27/08/2020 08:52

I've seen there a few TRA's encouraging this in the belief that the end result will be in their favour. Maybe they are right? Or is it their delusions are so deep set? It needs clarification either way.

highame · 27/08/2020 08:59

The TRA's may be considering their friends in high places but that would mean our legal system is corrupt and I am sure that isn't the case (I can't be deleted for stating the obvious, can I Grin.

So far as I can tell, this is pretty straight forward. There's masses of evidence

334bu · 27/08/2020 09:07

A change of thread title might be useful. I had no idea who Ann Sinnott was and only looked at thread because it was at the top of the page.

DialSquare · 27/08/2020 09:15

Thanks highame. That's what I'm hoping. It seemed clear cut to me but you never know. I'm not in the same league intelligence wise as some on here so wondered if I was missing something (apart from brain cells!)

ByGrabtharsHammerWhatASavings · 27/08/2020 09:20

Even if these cases don't go in our favour, at least we will have clarity and know how to best proceed. If it turns out that the law is on our side, then our next step is to enforce the law. If it turns out that the law is not on our side, then our next step is to change the law. Either way we start to get some parameters on this nonsense. The TRA goal is to make every sooo complicated that words can't possible be defined, ideas can't possibly be contained within catagories etc, so nothing can be meaningfully enforced by law. We need to get everything spelled out in black and white. Once we get some definitional boundaries around things, start fencing in who is and is not included by the terms "trans", "woman" etc, then we can start the work of closing those catagories in until they just include actual literal women.

Sounds like they've been reading the misinterpreted guidance for too long, which is why they think they're right.

Either way, the case will hopefully bring more widespread attention.
