around the guidance for the Equality Act 2010, and is crowdfunding for a judicial review. Thought I ought to spread the word.

Me too. Hopefully it will be sorted today.

Thanks for all your support Mumsnetters!! It's often said you are the best of the best - and I second that!

We didn't make the target but we can still get decent materials produced, even though not enough to pay anything decent to AEA's volunteers.

Crowdfunder Uk has still not transferred to AEA's bank account! There was a public notice on the funder stating that funds would be transferred when the funder closed on Mon 15 March - even specified the exact time, 11am (can't remember the seconds).

I've tweeted about it, if you're on twitter please RT and/or comment.

Thanks again!

They are in effect, stealing your money Ann.

That was given to you in good faith by many people.

I hope you hear from them soon. Perhaps someone like Martin Lewis will be interested in an investigation for his TV programme if you don't.

AnnMSinnott · 17/03/2021 17:48

I don't think they intend to steal and am sure they will remit the funds. I believe they are just holding onto it for however long and letting interest accrue. But it's not right because they stated on the funder that remittance would be immediate.

Lordamighty · 17/03/2021 17:55

As a contributor to the crowdfunder I have just emailed them asking for an explanation & I urge others to do the same.
There is also a Fundraising Regular.

Lordamighty · 17/03/2021 17:55

CrowdfunderUK eventually responded on Twitter saying they remit 7 days after the funder closes. Ok, am fine with that. But WHY do they state on the funder page that remittal of funds is immediate, even giving an exact time? It misleads donors.

PurpleHoodie · 17/03/2021 20:56

It is mis-leading.

Glad to hear you got a response.

Good luck Flowers

She has a date:
Dear Donors

The presiding judge decided that we should go straight to a 1-day oral Permissions Hearing.

This hearing will decide whether or not AEA can proceed to Judicial Review of EHRC and will also rule on our request for a costs cap (to protect AEA) should the case go forward.

The judge also ruled that our Permissions Hearing must NOT be heard by only a Deputy Judge.

The Permissions Hearing has now been scheduled for 6 May 2021.

This is a very important case and just might halt the way secrecy is used to remove the rights of women. Allotment needs a little work

DialSquare · 10/04/2021 12:19

Just noticed the email. I'll go and dig.

FortunesFavour · 10/04/2021 12:38

I’ve had the update too and will dig again. I’m not flush with cash but at this point I’m so annoyed I will dig my way to Australia to support this case and hold the line against the insidious erosion of hard won protections.

Keep going Ann. It’s an uphill battle but the tide is turning thanks to brave women such as yourself, Maya and Keira.

AnnMSinnott · 10/04/2021 13:29

Thanks everyone! - your support is very much appreciated X

If you can do so safely, please promote on social media.

ArabellaScott · 10/04/2021 14:15

This is a field that needs digging. Away to throw a shovel at it. Good luck, Ann.

YouSetTheTone · 10/04/2021 14:32

Just dug! Have my fingers crossed it goes well on 6th May. Thank you Ann, this seems vitally important.
I have shared it with my family and my parents are digging too.

IJustWantSomeBees · 30/05/2021 13:10

Is there an update for this?

LangClegsInSpace · 30/05/2021 14:50

She was denied permission for a judicial review. Good explanation of the case here:
