Internet fact checking has become a goddamned joke. It's basically:

"A corporate spokesperson explained to us that they did no wrong, so I guess that checks out, nothing to see here, move along, just some dumb moms on the internet having problems with nothing again."

Remember when journalism was about asking tough questions of people like corporate PR reps and politicians? Now, they're just vehicles to transmit press releases. Even the "fact checkers."

I'd say best case scenario, ignorant male designers who would never have made a button out of a penis bulge because it would have screamed inappropriate. Women's genitals are not 'precious' in the same way so 'just a handy place to put a button'. That's assuming there isn't an active map group deliberately infiltrating toys in this way.

And how they thought their "it's meant to make an 'oopsy-daisy' sound when she lands on her bum" explanation would fly with anyone who actually listened to the sound effects. They sound more like a comedy 70s porno than anything else, especially that bloody creepy giggle.

Normally I go to these things, and it's a bit of a reach, but this one is well, WELL over the line of of having a completely innocent explanation.

And the hair colours - almost as if someone did it to see how far they could go before someone flagged it up.

The absolute best case scenario is that there was a puerile immature guy who thought he was being funny sneaking through this alternative adult perspective that nobody else had realised. Or a few had realised, which they shared the joke together via a covert snigger.

If it was just an "oopsy daisy" fall down button it would be advertised on the box. I'd also wager with the positioning that landing on a flat surface wouldn't trigger that button, it would need to be actually pushed.
